Pokémon battle: Pokémon Stadium
- Pokémon Stadium (Japanese: ポケモンスタジアム2 Pokémon Stadium 2) is a Pokémon game for the Nintendo 64.
- On this day in 2000, this game was released in North America.
- This game is the first Pokémon Stadium game released outside of Japan; in Japan, this game was a sequel to a game whose name matched this game's English name.
- By registering all 151 Pokémon in the Hall of Fame, the player can obtain a Psyduck with Amnesia.
- In non-Japanese versions only, the player can obtain a Surfing Pikachu by completing the Master Ball division of the Round 2 Prime Cup using only Pokémon selected directly from the Game Pak, not saving the game during the challenge, and using a Pikachu in the final battle.
- This game fixes many glitches related to moves in the handheld Generation I games.
- Using the GB Tower option, main series Pokémon Game Boy games can be played on the TV screen.
- The game has three major modes: Free battle, Stadium Mode, and Gym Leader Castle. Completing the latter two unlocks a battle with Mewtwo. Defeating this Mewtwo then unlocks "Round 2", where the player can complete the entire game again against the same opponents with different parties.
