Expected future event?

Can't we make a template that says something like:

" The subject of this article is of a location which has not yet become available in the games. This article's contents will change as more information becomes available, perhaps abruptly. Please be cautious when adding information to this article, as rumors and speculation can often be confused with facts. Avoid any information on this subject which is not confirmed by reliable sources. Some art on this page, to suit Bulbapedia templates, may not be official. "

--Landfish7 13:30, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

You mean like this? Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 13:33, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes like that, but think about it, Hiun City ISN'T a future EVENT it's a LOCATION. --Landfish7 13:58, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I think the only specialised "future" template we have is the one for new Pokémon and one thats like "this is a current event in the anime". Most people know "future event" means the appearance of the location in the game, so I personally think it's okay where it is. --ZestyCactus 15:12, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Stones on the Dock

Hey, I don't think the method of getting the elemental stones on the dock is dependent on the monkey you received. I received the water monkey and was given the leaf stone. Can anyone else verify this? Alloran 13:11, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Apparently, that happens depending on the option you choose when talking to him. I know this because I got a Baoppu and I got a Leaf Stone from him, too. --Shining Latios 21:05, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Translating a little of what he says: "Yanappu, Baoppu and Hiyappu are 3 Pokémon that evolve with special stones. Which Pokémon would you like to see evolving?" Options: "1)Yanappu 2)Baoppu 3)Hiyappu 4)Cancel" Choose one of them, then choose the first option for Yes and you'll receive the stone for that Pokémon. Blow 00:30, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Glitch?

I battled a Dancer with a Yanappu in the park instead of the one with a Baoppu in the pier. Is that normal? --Shining Latios 20:56, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

There are three of them. The page isn't complete. Feel free to add it to the page if you have the info. Werdnae (talk) 20:58, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. The third one is at the Slim Street. Can someone add them? I can't because I can't read Japanese. EDIT: The tables are there but I don't know how to fix them. Can someone help? --Shining Latios 21:05, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Sky Arrow Bridge

Shouldn't the Sky Arrow Bridge have its own page? I think there's enough about it that such a page could be made, and it's technically not a part of Hiun City. --AndyPKMN 12:03, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it should. --SnorlaxMonster 12:19, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Shigeki Morimoto

Shouldn't Shigeki Morimoto be listed on the trainers list? M-eeeeeek-io 20:10, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Do you not see the banner says this article is incomplete? --HoennMaster 00:01, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
We have his party on his page, so I think that we should copy it here. --SnorlaxMonster 08:32, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

One Last Question

I added the information about the third dancer (the one with Hiyappu) but for some reason it's not showing up. Anyone knows what's causing the problem? --Shining Latios 02:21, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

It had been commented out. I unhid it. —darklordtrom 05:35, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. --Shining Latios 05:36, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Lots of information about Hiun City

Hello, I have a lot of information to add, but don't have time to organize. I'll put them here and someone plz add them later to the article.

  • There's a Pokémon massagist in the building in front of Game Freak. She gives one massage per day.
  • In Atelier Hiun, there's a clown that asks you to show a Pokémon of certain type each day. If you do so, he lets you choose one of the five berries: Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst and Aspear.
  • In the north street (way to Route 4), there are 3 buildings:
    • In the left one, there's and old man that changes Pokémon names and, in the 11th floor, there's a scientist that asks you two passwords of two words each. This enables the Transfer Machine (similar to Mystery Gift). In the japanese version, the first password is みんな ハッピー (everyone happy) and the second is かんたん つうしん (easy conection).
    • In the second building to the right, there's a scientist that verifies the number of seen Pokémon. I received the item しんかのきせき (I think this item name is Evolution Locus, but a literal translation would be Evolution Miracle) for showing a Pokédex with 33 seen Pokémon. Searching the net, someone got it with 28 seen Pokémon. What about you?

All information put here may refer only to White version, someone plz verify it in Black version. I'd like to discuss another thing. The first Dancer I battled was the grass monkey (Yanappu) one. My first Pokémon was Tsutarja.
I'd like to know if everyone battled first the Yanappu dancer at Central Park, or if the first battle was with the Dancer that had the monkey of the same type as your first Pokémon. Blow 15:31, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Answer to the monkey question: No, you have to battle the Dancer with Yanappu first, it's not dependant on the Starter. I battled him first and my starter was Mijumaru. --Shining Latios 18:00, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Evolution Stone

Didn't feel like making the addition of this to Stat Increasing Held Items, as I honestly don't have the knowledge of every Pre-Evolution pokemon that this takes effect for.

You get it from the scientist as I stated in the article (In the building with Name Rater) when you have Seen 25+ (or so) Pokemon.

Item Info:

Evolution Stone

A piece of evolutions wonder. If held, a pre-evolved Pokemon's Defense and Sp. Defense will be boosted.

By pre-evolved it seems to mean Pokemon like Pichu, etc that are baby forms of other Pokemon as far as I can figure. I know it didn't change the listed stats for Otamaro when I equipped it with it, or for any of my other Pokemon.- unsigned comment from Bugmenot (talkcontribs)

The stat change due to a held item is never visible on the stats page. I assume it means Pokémon which have at least another evolution stage remaining. --SnorlaxMonster 12:16, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
From what I've read, the stat increase is greater for Pokemon which have two evolutionary stages left. Don't remember by how much, though. --AndyPKMN (talk) 13:20, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
As I've written in the section above, it's japanese name is Evolution Miracle. I went back and talked to the scientist again. He says:
ただし こうかを はっきするのは しんかする ポケモンの しんかまえの じょうたい だけという.
With this, I think Evolution Miracle is meant to affect only Pokémon that will evolve next level.
But I believe all this discussion should be moved to the Stat-increasing held items page. --Blow (話す) 17:54, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Image

The image has writing on it so should it be replaced? Strongriver 04:50, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Yes. --SnorlaxMonster 04:55, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Zorua

On the page it says that a girl shows the player a picture of Zorua to put in the pokedex in the Game Freak section in 'Places of Interest', but the Special Pokemon section in 'Pokemon' makes it appear that the player would receive a lv10 Zorua as a gift. Should this be changed so there's no confusion or does the player actually receive a Zorua here? Azure42 15:23, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

You can get Zorua with the event Celebi here.Minimiscience 15:44, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Okay :) but if it requires an event Celebi shouldn't it be known as an event pokemon too like the Spiky-Eared Pichu event in Ilex Forest? Azure42 15:57, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Also, what's the blue building actually called? because it can be put in Places of Interest where the event can be explained Azure42 16:09, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Actually, the blue building is the Game Freak headquarters, which is already in Places of Interest. I believe the true problem is to explain the Transfer Machine, which I pointed in this talk page that need to be added in the article. --Blow (話す) 19:03, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

ah right, the transfer machine does sound quite complicated so i'll leave that to someone more experienced just in case i get it wrong but at least we know where to put it all :) in the meantime, i'm just gonna change the Pokemon section so Zorua appears as an event pokemon Azure42 19:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

The Transfer Machine has it's own article so the full description here is not needed. --HoennMaster 19:22, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

right so that bit's sorted :) turns out it's much harder to change gift into event without the stairs showing up, can someone tell me how to do it/do it for me so i can see how it was done please :)? Azure42 19:34, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

i've just changed it to 'Only One' like the Creation Trio is in the Sinjoh Ruins (which requires an event Arceus so it was the closest i could get) feel free to change it if you want Azure42 20:01, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

This Zorua is actually a gift. The creation trio... I'm not sure which one, but I think "gift" would be better for them too, since they are not battled. It already mentions that it is event only in the tool tip. --SnorlaxMonster 06:54, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

When the girl is finished talking she looks at the boy and says "Why are you blushing?". Does anyone else think that boy...--Celibi25 02:59, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Demographics

Hello Snorlax Master, I noticed you deleted the "Demographics" section a few days after I created it. I'm puzzled why you would delete it. Might you please explain why you deleted it. Is there a reason that we don't need it... ? --Han Ji-Wan 18:40, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

You should contact him on his talk page instead. The Sandwich Oven 18:45, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Pikachu

Wasn't it just stated that they wouldn't appear, as in in the wild, not necessarily not appear all together? --HoennMaster 17:06, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

After a bit of hunting, I found the Bulbanews article, with a link to Masuda's blog. I believe the sentence in question is 新ポケモンしか飛び出してきません! --SnorlaxMonster 05:31, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Castellia City

Castellia city is the largest city in the pokemon world, with high skyscrapers and a population of 130 plus 4 per second regenarating in streets where they walk along the sidewalk. Why then, is it "one of the largest", do they not count? --Italay90 18:17, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Because then the population count would go on forever. Too much and impossible. Only those that are stationary count.--Han Ji-Wan 19:29, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Stop fighting over this because it is totally pointless. Han Ji-Wan, Castelia is the largest city in the Pokémon world by far. Raimon is smaller but has a bigger population, there is a difference. How large a city is is not determined by it's population, it's determined by size and Castelia clearly has Raimon beat. --HoennMaster 01:39, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Where did you get the idea that Castelia City is the largest city? Where's your proof? Yes, while Castelia looks bigger, grander, and has large skyscrapers, it does not mean it's the largest. For example, Singapore is a dense island city with a lot of tall skyscrapers, while London is more spread out, not as much notable skyscrapers and a larger population. You don't seem to understand the term, "largest city"... Yes, land area OR population mean "largest city", but I'm refering to population. Check your facts before criticizing me.--Han Ji-Wan 03:07, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
How am I criticizing you? Oh wait, I'm not. Have you looked at Unova's official artwork. Castelia spans the entire middle peninsula, Raimon doesn't. That easily shows it's plenty bigger. --HoennMaster 03:31, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Population is what determines what we consider to be "large" when talking about cities. MaverickNate 03:36, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Nate is correct, but I think that we should avoid using the term "large" in this context. Instead, I would suggest "most populous". However, "large" is not incorrect if you are referring to population. --SnorlaxMonster 03:48, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
That's only partially correct though. Size-wise it is bigger and most people would probably judge a city by size, not population. What's wrong with including them both? --HoennMaster 04:02, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
It's pretty much impossible to find out what's the largest city in terms of land area. There's the game and the map art and more. The map is in no way, an accurate portrayal of the size of cities because it doesn't show all the details. So yeah, I guess you could do land area for each towns by counting the spaces. Vertically and horizontally and then multiply it to get the total land area.--Han Ji-Wan 06:07, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
If we can't come to an agreement, why don't we just say it's the second-largest city by population, excluding the people running in the streets? I mean, that makes perfect sense to me. We could say something like, "Taking into account people running on the streets, Castelia is the largest city in the Pokémon world, having an infinite population. However, when these people are excluded and only those who are stationary are counted, Nimbasa's population exceeds Castelia's by 20 people." Igglybuff63 21:23, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
"The map is in no way, an accurate portrayal of the size of cities because it doesn't show all the details." Bullshit. The map is more than accurate enough to show which city is bigger. Both the in-game map and the official artwork depict Castelia as being at least six times bigger than Nimbasa. You think that making the map more detailed would result in Castelia shrinking to the point of it being smaller than Nimbasa? Puh-leeze. - Ericss 15:43, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
Please watch your language. This is a children's site, you know?

The two maps (in-game and official art map) are still not accurate because they don't show enough details and the correct size. Han Ji-Wan 19:12, 14 May 2011 (UTC) You do realize that you're not supposed reply to a few months old discussion and try to argue someone's point which had already been resolved?

Lots of english names for places of interest

The Piggyback Pkmn B/W gameguide has english names for all the castelia places of interest. I don't know if guides are a reliable source for, especially, english names and if they are names coined by Piggyback. But is anyone interested in knowing the names? And should the names be used instead of the names that are now used on the wiki? Tell me and I'll place them here :) Alexjuuhh 17:19, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Post them. Post all you've got. We'll be able to check its authenticity soon. --Maxim 17:20, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
well, okay then :D I'll only post the ones that are different from the names on the wiki.
Atelier Castelia = Studio Castelia
Castelia Ice = Casteliacone
Café = Café Sonata
Passerby Survey Squad Headquarters = Passerby Analytics HQ
Central Area = Castelia Central Area
The Dock = Cruise Ship Dock
Also, there's the Name-Rating Services, Pokémon Massage.
And all the English names for the trainers you can battle in Castelia:
Clerk ♀ Ingrid, Clerk ♀ Alberta, Scientist Randall, Clerk ♂ Clemens, Clerk ♂ Warren, Scientist Samantha, Scientist Steve, Clerk ♂ Ivan, Clerk ♂ Wade, Janitor Geoff, Dancer Mickey, Dancer Edmond, Dancer Raymond, Harlequin Kerry, Harlequin Jack, Harlequin Louis, Harlequin Rick.
That's all I could find for now. If I find anything else before the release (4/6 march), I'll post it. (oh and yes, Piggyback listed clowns as Harlequins.) - unsigned comment from Alexjuuh (talkcontribs)
I think there's no reason to think that those aren't real. Casteliacone is (Serebii)-confirmed. Also, Harlequin instead of Clown might not be an error, since those are two different classes in Japanese (Pierrot and Clown), so the English versions could've reflected this difference too. What I don't like is that Bussinessmen and OLs are both called "Clerk" but I guess that NoA is the one to be blamed. Also, those guides are generally reliable but they DO have errors here and there. Also, sign your comments. --Maxim 17:56, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
yeah, guess you're right. And I forgot to sign that comment.. :') sorry. Alexjuuhh 18:29, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Castelia City's slogan

I edited the page with the slogan, which I obtained from this video. [1] --SpeedSuicune 21:21, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Unnamed street...

Is it OK to call that street above the Central Plaza North Street? I mean, it makes sense and there;s no other name for it...Green Zubat 02:24, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

I think it's best to keep it as "unnamed" rather than make up one. Han Ji-Wan 05:52, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Shape

Its a hand holding a pokeball. heh. PowerPlantRaichu 17:42, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

It's certainly a hand, but I don't think it is holding a Poké Ball. The fingers are out, which they wouldn't be if they were clenched around a Poké Ball. --SnorlaxMonster 10:17, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Mr. Lock

In one of the northern buildings (the same one with the Relocator, the same floor even) there is a clown named Mr. Lock, who says that he can open anything. Then he says that he'll see you in the future. He is part of some event? Teller of Legends 15:30, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

You need to speak with open to open up the event item Lock Capsule when you receive one through an event if I remember correctly. Frozen Fennec 15:33, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
That is correct, however I don't think the Lock Capsule was ever released, making him kinda useless (unless he is used in story in Black/White). --Spriteit 14:22, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

A couple of notes...

Although, very likely, what I am saying lacks importance, I am going to say it regardless. Since I myself can't do it, and as far as I can tell there's no other record of it, does anyone believe it should be mentioned exactly what occurs in the Zorua event besides they general statement of "it requires an event Celebi" as I honestly have no clue as to how that event takes place and I can't seem to find the information. It wouldn't need to be much, it could be simple "The event takes place by speaking to [blank] at/in [blank] with an event Celebi in the party, if the event is really that simple. On another note, if the picture of a Zorua from a book somehow records Zorua's picture and cry to the pokedex, why doesn't the hiker's pikachu do the same, especially considering its a living pokemon and not a PICTURE. I'm not asking for an actual explanation as I am well aware no one here actually helped design these games, but it seems something worth noting in the trivia... --Azurillglow2mlw7 04:09, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Added event info. As for why Zorua's picture adds the dex entry but a physical Pikachu doesn't, it's so you can see a Zorua without needing an event; likewise, in Diamond and Pearl you can register Dialga/Palkia's seen entries via picture, and Manaphy's in Platinum. Pikachu doesn't need to be registered this way, so it is not. --SnorlaxMonster 15:15, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
