Say, since I won second place, how about I give you the Johto starters and then you give me the Ralts (and two random Pokémon, Bidoof, Rattata, etc)? That fits nicely... Tina 15:53, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Okay. I was thinking the same thing. Except the other Pokémon I give you won't be completely worthless. I might give you a regular level 1 Spiritomb or something like that. ShinyTalk | Contribs 21:30, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Trades

I have quite a lot of the pokemon you say you want on your userpage. I have all 3 johto starters and a Turtwig bred with seed bomb and worry seed. I think I have a female rampardos as well that I can breed. I'm after a Stantler, Houndour, Rotom, Shieldon and Eevee. My friend code is 1289-5956-8550. My other one for Diamond is 1890-8896-9822 but you don't realy need that I just put it there incase I forget to send Totodile and Chikorita to Pearl. Jimmy31428

I have a squirtle up for offer, a chimchar and multiple Cranidos. I am looking for Shieldon, Misdreavus, and Glameow. My Friend code is "Ben" #1761 9636 4307. Also, I have a Vespiqueen and a Ambipom P.S. I can't do it right away sense my DS is... uh... broken.... in two. Count Caterpie 00:48, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia

Wikipedia doesn't do things like that. This place's relevance isn't proven. We don't need a section with an unsourced statement like "Pokémon has a dedicated fan community" then a random link to Bulbapedia.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 01:54, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Also keep in mind that Wikipedia has different policies than this place does. TheBlazikenMaster 16:26, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

WiFi help

I noticed in the message you gave me, there was an Error Code - thus, I looked it up. Look at this - [1] - and see if that helps. Tina 22:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Gah, sorry for not responding - I was drawing. Any time (If you use Central Time, that is) is good for me. :D Tina 23:05, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Hang on a moment, lemme breed the eggs for now.. if you'd like nicknames, what would you like them to be? Tina 02:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't care about the nicknames. ShinyTalk | Contribs 02:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
By the way, could we do it tommorrow? ^^; Right now I'm trying to work on something.. Tina 02:47, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Okay. Preferably sometime between 3:15 PM and 3:50 PM. ShinyTalk | Contribs 02:48, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Sounds good to me! Tina 02:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
It'd be nice to know your trainer's name - but really, I can slip in anything. ;) (My trainer, is of course, the generic Tina. *shot*)
...and I've got the starters ready too. Tina 22:16, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Trading

  1. Go to the basement of a PokeCenter.
  2. Talk to one of the ladies next to the door to WiFi.
  3. It'll save your game.
  4. Connect to WiFi? Yes.
  5. Now, to start a trade (I'll do this), go Invite, Trade, and then the other person (You, in this case) will select the other's name ad hit like... trade or something. Then you're taken to the trade screen.

That's how to trade. Tina 22:43, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Since you're using the USB connector, try not to not move the connector and the DS. Tina 22:52, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[2] Try looking at that? Tina 22:55, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Get a wireless connection. XD Those have NEVER failed on me. :P (Especially handy if you're thinking of getting a Wii or something.) Tina 22:59, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
By the way, I disconnected for now. Tina 23:00, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Trade

I'm sorry but my USB connector is not working. I can't trade you right now, but when I get it fixed, we'll talk.

Cheated Vespiquen

I doubt it will but you'd better be more careful in the future. What did you lose anyway?

P.S. It looked legitimate. It wasn't one of those Level 100 shiny legendaries or anything like that.

Look very carefully at the summery and you should be able to spot a cheat. Do this from now one before any trade. It may be tedious, but you won't get any cheated Pokémon. Carnivine

Yes, you may borrow it. To make a border around it, add "; border: 1px solid whatever color you want" (without the quotes) to the end of the style thingy for the span. Shiny?! 17:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

EP050's Tournament

The tournament was basically a trap, therefore it should not be noted on Misty's page. If we were to note the tournament on Misty's page, we'd also have to note the tournament on Ash's, Brock's, and Meowth's pages as well. --Shiningpikablu252 23:08, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't a trap, it was a contest. Since Misty ended up winning, we shouldn't note it on Brock's or Meowth's page. However, since Ash actually won but Togepi didn't like him, it should be noted on his page. Shiny?! 23:11, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Also, it completely changed the course of the show. If Team Rocket had won, they would have taken Togepi whether he/she wanted to be taken by Team Rocket or not. Shiny?! 23:15, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
It shouldn't be noted. It was a result of an argument between Ash, Misty, Brock, and Meowth. It's a useless thing to note. The Togepi tournament is just a private affair. All the information about what happened is already on Togepi's page. If you believe this is note worthy then we'll have to note the competition between Ash and Misty when they wanted to see who would get Totodile. It's stupid.--ケンジガール 23:20, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Actually, we should note the Totodile contest. Anything that completely changed the course of the show is definitely noteworthy! If Team Rocket had won, they would have taken Togepi whether he/she wanted to be taken by Team Rocket or not, which would, I'm sure you'll agree, have completely changed the course of the show. Shiny?! 23:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Don't you find it ironic that we're arguing over a competition that was caused by an arguement?
... I do. >_>;
Anyway, I say.. leave it out. It wasn't an official competition, and Misty was gonna win anyway. Go figure. Tina 23:44, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
You're right, that is ironic. Anyways how did Ash capturing Totodile "change the course of the show"? I didn't really see a significant change after it was caught. Some would say that Togepi changed Misty's character, which I don't believe, but Totodile...? Come on now. --ケンジガール 23:55, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

What about later when there are entire episodes focusing on Togepi. If Team Rocket had won, they would've taken Togepi and kept it for themselves, thus causing different episodes to be made than the ones that actually were made since Misty won. Shiny?! 00:00, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

What if Ash chose Squirtle instead of Pikachu? There's a lot of things that could turn it around, however, the fact that she's the default winner just kind of.. makes it not really a competition. Tina 00:10, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
You're missing my point! If Team Rocket had won, they would have kept Togepi. Shiny?! 00:32, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

This competition was a spur-of-the-moment decision to determine who would keep Togepi. That in no way deserves a mention. It was a contest between friends. Now, if it were something organized like the Bug-Catching Contest, Seaking Catching Day, or the Whirl Cup, then I would agree with you. However, this was not organized, not planned, and it is hardly a competition. Honestly, why are people getting into edit wars over something as minute as this? --PAK Man Talk 03:05, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

I've got my comments on this too, Shiny...Not official, not included...sorry dude, I've got my opinions too... Agent #448 DP | E | 13:24, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Wait, I'm confused. The very reason Misty accquired Togepi in the first place isn't notable? Cassius335 18:06, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I know. I'm wondering exactly the same thing. But it seems that Kenji-Girl believes that the very event that caused Misty to get her main Pokémon isn't notable! As you can see, Kenji-Girl is clearly wrong. Also, an administrator agrees that it should be included. Shiny?! 02:46, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
You still don't get it do you? The achievements section on everyone's page is ONLY for official Pokémon competions. So now you wanna say that getting a new Pokémon counts and achievement? So on Ash's page we'll have to put as one of his achievements was obtaining Pikachu? Or Brock's achievement is getting an Onix for his birthday? It's ridiculous! It's already noted on her page how she obtained Togepi and that's enough. And again, your only arguing it just so you can get attention. It's just like everything else you do! I hope you know that the original user who but that on Misty's page even realized that it was not notable enough. So now its just you and the one administrator vs. Bulbapedia. Everyone else thinks it's stupid! This coming from the guy who wanted to move James's Cacnea to Gardenia's Cacnea under a stupid hint. I suppose you want to hold a poll now? --ケンジガール 03:06, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
A.K.A...Nuh uh...negatory...not gonna happen. Yes, I agree with Kenji-galKenji-girl for once...Togepi's tournament was not notable! Even Pikachu disagrees (Translate Pikachu's cries: THATS BECAUSE I WANTED TOGEPI!)...and one more thing...ask another admin... Agent #448 DP | E | 08:47, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Obtaining a main Pokemon is not a notable achievement? Good grief... Cassius335 14:17, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm not saying we should add Ash obtaining Pikachu or Brock obtaining Onix. They didn't win them, they just received them from someone. Misty, however, actually won Togepi in a competition. In addition, seeing as Togepi is Misty's main Pokémon, the event is notable. Shiny?! 13:15, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

You kinda forgot it was not official... Agent #448 DP | E | 13:25, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
We didn't forget, we just don't care. Seriously, next you'll be removing things as unnotable because "It's a bit cloudy today" or something. Cassius335 14:17, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

800px

Tables on articles should never be that length. Simply put, anything longer than 600px causes the need to horizontial-scroll to see everything, and does not look good on a page on top of that. Never assume high-resolution monitors when making fixed-width tables, as many people are quite content with their 800×600 setup. --Shiningpikablu252 21:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Who the h--- do you think you are?

I saw what you did. You know that there's a poll being held for who's Cancea it is and right now, James has more votes. Stop moving around pages to your liking. Quit being a whiny little brat because you don't get your way. Bulbapedia is a democracy. The users decide what's best. Not just one user.

Let me give you some food for thought. Is it Liza's Charizard or Officer Jenny's Squirtle? NO. Why should this situtation be any different?

So knock it off! If enough more users say it should be Gardenia's Cacnea rather than James's Cacnea, then fine. I won't like it but I won't be a little b---- about it like you're being and move the page around. But until then, leave the article alone.--ケンジガール 23:41, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Again, I'll reiterate the points that I made at the poll, in addition to what Kenji-girl stated; The reason we call Ash's Haunter Sabrina's Haunter is because he never technically owned it. Now, if he had captured it in a Poké Ball or actually used it in battle (which he didn't do) I would have it moved back to Ash's Haunter. As for Brock's Vulpix, although he said he never felt that it was his, it was. Susie is nothing more than a character of the day who happened to appear in one more episode. Bulbapedia does not have articles for Pokémon belonging to characters of the day, and Susie is no exception. This is the same reason we do not call Jessie's Lickitung Benny's Lickitung. He is a minor character of the day who never appeared again, or was made reference to.
Now, the major difference between calling it Sabrina's Haunter and calling this Gardenia's Cacnea is because James actually legitimately caught Cacnea, and used it in battle countless times. Can the same be said for Haunter? No. In fact, most fans of the TV show probably don't even realize that Ash even used a Haunter. Just like how most fans are more likely to remember Brock than Susie, or James than Gardenia, or Jessie than Benny. Honestly, I don't see why people are getting so worked up about this. --PAK Man Talk 02:18, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
But James actually gave the Poké Ball to Gardenia. As we have seen in several episodes, having the Poké Ball is necessary for ownership. Shiny?! 13:18, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Page Linking and Speedy Deletion

There was no reason to replace the {{delete}} tag on Shōgakukan with two notice templates and nothing else, especially citing "something actually links here" as a reason not to delete the page. Badly-created articles are targets for deletion whether or not it has zero or 100 articles linking to it. Shoot, even if someone created an Atsuko Nishida article, currently the top page on the wanted list, or a similar high-up page on the list, and the page was nothing but spam, guess what, it's a deletion candidate unless someone improves it quick. The page content on Shōgakukan was bad at creation, and your content wasn't much better from a notability standpoint. Now, perhaps if you'd added some actual page content pertaining to the subject in the first place, then maybe I wouldn't have put the deletion tag back. --Shiningpikablu252 21:41, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

So you're saying that stubs should be deleted rather than improved? Shiny?! 21:44, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
If said stubs consist of two notice templates and nothing else, then yes. Now, if there's some actual content on the subject, that's a different matter...--Shiningpikablu252 21:45, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Pokémon Platinum

You quoted an article on Pokébeach as proof of this game's existence. However, even Pokébeach isn't 100% convinced of the game's existence, and that's why I put that disputed tag up in the first place. Don't get into an edit war over this. Leave the disputed tag up until either A) more information is revealed or B) the game's existence is disproven. --Shiningpikablu252 23:39, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
