Release information
This card was first released as part of the Extended Sheet 2 of the Vending Machine cards with artwork by Kagemaru Himeno. It was later reprinted in the Quick Starter Gift Set, and then again with new artwork by the same artist as a promotional card for the third volume of the manga series, How I Became a Pokémon Card released in February 2000. This print has an open book symbol in place of an expansion symbol.

- The promotional version of the card is commonly known as Singing Jynx, in reference to the character illustration. The Japanese promotional version also has an open book symbol in place of an expansion symbol.
- The Japanese promotional version is also commonly known as Natta Wake Jynx in reference to the manga book in which it was distributed.
Origin
Ice Punch is a move in the Pokémon games that Jynx can learn. This card's Extended Sheet 2 print's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Blue. The Unnumbered Promotional print's entry comes from Pokémon Gold.
