Lanturn (Japanese: ランターン Lantern) is a Lightning-type Stage 1 Pokémon card. It is part of the EX Hidden Legends expansion.

Once during your opponent's turn, when any of your Pokémon is Knocked Out by your opponent's attacks, you may use this power. Choose a basic Energy card discarded from the Knocked Out Pokémon and attach it to Lanturn. You can't use more than 1 Energy Grounding Poké-Power each turn.

Release information

This card was first released in the EX Hidden Legends expansion with artwork by Aya Kusube, originating from the Japanese Undone Seal expansion. It was later reprinted in the EX Power Keepers expansion with new artwork by Midori Harada, which was later released in the Japanese World Champions Pack.

Origin

Lightning Strike's Japanese name is that of Bolt Strike, a move later introduced in the Generation V Pokémon games that Lanturn cannot learn.
