Release information
This card was first released in the Plasma Storm expansion, originating from the Japanese Plasma Gale expansion. It was also released in the Japanese Team Plasma's Powered Half Deck and Team Plasma Battle Gift Set. Later in Japan, it was reprinted as one of the BW-P Promotional cards and was available as part of a ten card random pack released during the February 2013 Gym Challenge.
Trivia
This card was banned from use at the 2013 North American Professor Cup, thus making it the first specific card to be banned from any official event since Wormadam from POP Series 7 was removed from the 2008 North American Professor Cup. The card along with Whirlipede was dominant at the 2013 European Professor Cup.
