The Player Search System, or PSS for short, is an item that appears in Generation VI and is the Pokémon X and Y version of the C-Gear. It has many different functions including GTS, Wonder Trade, O-Powers and more.

Global Trade Station

In Generation VI the Global Trade Station can now be accessed in many more places than just Pokémon Centres in Generation V or the Global Terminal/GTS building in Generation IV.

Wonder Trade

Wonder Trade allows players to trade Pokémon for another one without even knowing what you are going to get, meaning using Wonder Trade is taking a bit of a chance as you could get a very rare of very common Pokémon.

O-Powers

O-Powers seem to be, in many ways, just Gen VI versions of Pass Powers, as they give power ups and increase/decrease chances of things happening and can be shared with other players. Another way in which it is like Pass Powers is that if another player uses one you can use it too, if you are near the other player when activated.

Shout Outs

Shout Outs are messages sent to everyone connected to your game, whether they are your friends or someone on the other side of the world who happened to be connected to the internet at the same time as you.
