Trivia
- In the English dub title card, "Farewell, Unova!" is written in the usual font size, while "Setting Sail for New Adventures!" is written below, with a smaller font size. This is the first time a title card uses two different styles in its text.
- This episode marks Giovanni's first appearance since leaving Unova in Unova's Survival Crisis!, 26 episodes prior.
Errors
- During a shot in the scene where the ship is starting to sink, Meowth's ears are cream-colored like the rest of his body, instead of black.
- When meeting Porter for the first time, Ash addresses him by his Japanese name, Parker.
