By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Japanese titles

Thanks for adding the Japanese titles for the books. Just remember to use the correct form:

(Japanese: '''<title in Japanese characters>''' ''<translation>'')

Please. Listen to this. Ataro (talk) 03:29, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Bumping this discussion. While I really appreciate you're adding all the Japanese names for the Pokémon Tales books, I'd like to please ask you again to follow Bulbapedia's standard formatting. For Japanese titles, it would be (Japanese: '''Japanese characters''' ''Translation''. This would show up as (Japanese: Japanese characters Translation), for example, (Japanese: とべとべバタフリ- Fly, Butterfree). So, bolded Japanese, italicised translation. Thank you again for your contributions, --ZestyCactus 03:52, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
This is the last warning; next time you will be blocked. Also, if you cannot translate the Japanese tiltle, don't just use the English name; you can leave it blank instead.--Den Zen 07:36, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

Gendered pronouns

Please stop changing the 'its' and the like on single gendered Pokemon's articles. The articles need to be gender neutral. Thank you. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 23:35, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Let me explain the reasoning behind this, because Funktastic did not. While it is true that individuals of single-gendered species are always she or he, the species itself is still it because it is not an individual, but an abstract concept of a group. Therefore, unless a sentence is specifically referring to one individual, it is the pronoun we need to use. Think of it this way: a man is he and a woman is she, but mankind is it. How can I do that? - unsigned comment from Fuwanti (talkcontribs)

You need to move the page to another page on your talkspace, such as Fuwanti/Archive 1. Also, please stop copying my signature. Thank you. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 00:21, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
