Flee!

I ran away from Moltres by accident when I encountered him (I was caught by surprise, and I misjudged where the Fight button would be, and hit run instead)... Will I still be able to re-encounter him? Also, encounter him a dozen times? The first time I met it was well after completing the Pokémon league, in a completely remote place somewhere after I pushed a strength boulder a really long way north... How are you meant to find him? I remember in HG/SS with the roaming dogs, you had a pokétch app or something that tracked them, but now I have no clue... You didn't tap run. The bird automatically flees before you can do anything. You can find it again, and you'll actually have to if you want to catch it. Once you encounter it enough times, it will permanently take residence in the Sea Spirit's Den until you catch it. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 13:50, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
You can see its location in its Pokedex entry after the first encounter.BraviaryGirl23 (talk) 00:33, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Number of encounters

I thought that you only had to encounter it ten times, not a dozen. Should I change that? By the way, IwAsSoMeGuY, you can just look at the Pokédex entry to find where it will be, if that clears anything up.--Darkmaster (talk) 14:10, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Well thank you Jo for putting my mind at rest, and Darkmaster, I'll try and catch Moltres now, so I'll tell you how many times you have to find him. thanks for the help both of you. IwAsSoMeGuY (talk) 14:31, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
Ok, it takes 10 meetings with Moltres until he settles at the Sea Spirit's Den... Is it worth noting that Moltres knows Safeguard, Sunny Day, Air Slash, and Heat Wave, and the special ability is Pressure (To be expected)? IwAsSoMeGuY (talk) 16:45, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, I was not sure. The info on Moltres would probably be better on the page of Moltres though.--Darkmaster (talk) 18:11, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
Confirmed that it takes 10 roaming encounters before the bird appears in Sea Spirit's Den, not 12. I started with Chespin and got Articuno, and I know someone who started with Froakie and got Moltres, so that leaves Fennekin matching up with Zapdos. I also analyzed the roaming mechanic, so I'll update this page and the Roaming Pokémon page accordingly. --GuyPerfect (talk) 19:30, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
