Generations III and IV

It says that it recovers full HP in sunny conditions, but other moves with the same effects ( Synthesis and Moonlight) say that it recovers 2/3 of max HP. According to the game's built-in data, the three moves should work exactly the same. So, which is right? —Naokohiro 21:55, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Generation II

The article says that the HP gained depends on the time of day, but doesn't say how (same with Moonlight). I looked it up, and found "The user recovers 1/4 of its max HP during the day or night and 1/2 of its max HP during the morning. For all three time periods, healing is doubled during Sunny Day and halved during Rain Dance and Sandstorm." For Moonlight, it's "The user recovers 1/4 of its max HP during the morning or day and 1/2 of its max HP during the night. For all three time periods, healing is doubled during Sunny Day and halved during Rain Dance and Sandstorm." It isn't the most reliable source, so it probably needs to be researched unless someone's sure that's correct.--Wowy 06:31, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Fairy type move?

Why hasn't Morning Sun been changed to Fairy type? --Mystechni (talk) 01:54, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Because it isn't a Fairy type move. You might be thinking of Moonlight. --Pokemaster97 01:57, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
Why hasn't Morning Sun also been changed if Moonlight has? --Mystechni (talk) 02:01, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
Because Morning Sun is and always has been a Normal type move. It was not changed in the game, so it will not be changed here. --Pokemaster97 02:15, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
Moonlight was changed to Fairy-type because Fairy-types are associated with the moon (see, for example, Moonblast, or the Clefairy line's type change). Morning Sun is not associated with the moon, so there's no reason it would be changed. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 02:28, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
Is Morning Sun ever going to be changed? Will GameFreak make a new type associated with the sun or something? A "light" type? --Mystechni (talk) 03:45, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
