Merging
The game treats the area as part of Route 7 for everything except the background music, so the information about location and items could be merged into there. The berry growing information would probably be better suited to the Berry page. - signed comment from GoldenCelebi (pedia talk • news talk • archives talk) 18:46, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- I personally think it would be better to have it all in one place. The music is different, there are wild Pokémon and a few items too. I think it should have a separate article. Using that logic, the Battle Chateau page should also be merged into Route 7. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:39, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with Solar Dragon, also, this might not be the best point, but it was a Bureaucrat who started linking to this page, not just a random user -EVsandIVsaurs 19:44, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- I agree on the merge to the Berry page. That page listed places to plant Berries and caring for Berry plants, so the merge there makes more sense than merging to Route 7's page. Berrenta (talk) 14:30, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- I'd rather keep it separate. It is a location, so would not be merged into the Berry article (although that article certainly needs to link here). It would be merged into the Route 7 article, but I think it is fine to have its own page. --SnorlaxMonster 14:34, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- My opinions aren't any different. Although it's technically part of Route 7, it still is its own location with not only its own music and wild Pokémon, but also its own mechanics. No real need for a merge. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 13:17, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- I strongly disagree with any merge. It's more than sufficiently separate to have its own page, I think. --Wynd Fox 01:18, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
- Would this be enough against a merge to remove the merge templates? -EVsandIVsaurs 02:02, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Berry color
I would add which color is each berry, as some are difficult to guess. Erzapito (talk) 13:57, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Berry Hold Item Rate
Whenever I encounter Pokémon that supposedly have a 100% chance of holding a certain colour Berry, it never does have an item. Is it possible there's only a narrow time frame in which said Pokémon have a berry? Blob55 (talk) 05:47, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- This is about the color of the Berry tree it appears on, not the item it holds. --SnorlaxMonster 05:49, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Name capitalization
According to the history, SnorlaxMonster moved this page to "Berry fields" based on the Mulch descriptions. I'd like to point out that they say Mulch to be used on a Berry field. In other words, the Mulch description is just using a generic description, not the actual name of anything. Berry Fields should be the correct capitalization of this page because it is the proper name of a distinct location in the games, and proper names are capitalized. You wouldn't uncapitalize "New york city" or "Sea spirit's den", so I don't see why "Berry Fields" is being subjected to this misunderstanding of the Mulch descriptions' grammar. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 07:41, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
- Guidebook also doesn't capitalize it. It's not a proper noun, it's a description of a place like "Kurt's house" etc. --SnorlaxMonster 17:01, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry to question you further, but what's the context used in the guidebook? Is it actually calling it by that name, or is it a generic usage like the Mulches? (Or is it ambiguous, like a section header or something?) Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:10, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- "The Berry fields offer plenty of spots to plant your Berries."
- "You can simply plant your Berries and water them if you like, or you can use one of the composters around the Berry fields to make Mulch out of some of your Berries first."
- "After the first mutation occurs, a Scientist will appear and stop you as you try to leave the Berry fields." --SnorlaxMonster 01:39, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. It still seems really weird to me, though. But I guess canon is just inconsistent sometimes. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 06:20, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

Watering Trick
Not sure where to put this on the page, or if it needs to be put down anyway. A simple trick to watering the fields, when your character takes out the watering can and uses it on the buried berry, if you press left or right, and there's a dry buried berry in that direction, after watering the current berry the character will automatically walk over and water the next. You can do this down a row of planted berries to water them all at once, rather than selecting each patch and choosing to water them one at a time. Drake Clawfang (talk) 19:41, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- That was in Generation IV, too. (And maybe RSE; I don't know.) It's nothing new. —Minimiscience (talk) 20:01, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Drying berry plots
The article says the berry plots "dry up over time depending on the mulch and Berry used", while I have not noticed any difference between berries, the drying time seems to be around 24 hours unless boost mulch is used (I haven't tried the apicot, lansat, kee, maranga, starf and several of the anti-super-effective berries yet though). Do we know these berries have a different drying time or is this an assumption based on previous games? Is it 24 hours for most berries or is it slightly more or less? Does anyone know the effects of boost mulch (I think about 6 to 8 hours drying time, but I'm just using it for the first time, so I'm unsure). PinkShinyRose (talk) 22:01, 30 January 2014 (UTC) I tested the Kee and Maranga berries and they seem to have a growth time of around 24 hours using Rich Mulch. I'm still unsure on the effect of Boost Mulch, I think it causes a drying time of 6 hours, it's shorter than the 8 hours. I still need to more accurately determine the drying time for both use cases, but it seems reasonable to assume all berries have an identical drying rate and need watering around every 24 hours unless Boost Mulch is used. I also suspect the effect of Boost Mulch to be identical for all berries and plan to submit this information to the article once I have more accurate information. PinkShinyRose (talk) 20:47, 4 February 2014 (UTC) Amaze and Boost Mulch result in a 4 hour drying time. PinkShinyRose (talk) 15:10, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
