Talk:Lily (Kanto)
New voice
Since no one before me appeared to catch it, I'll make it publicly known here than in SS002 (Cerulean Blues), during the flashback scene, the Sensational Sisters (or rather, their feet) appear briefly with one of them saying "Oh, don't cry Misty." The sister in question is Lily, as it resembles Hudson's Joy voice (and is already on board for that episode in that role). That said, Lillis and Ortiz are both credited for the episode as well. However, noticing that the voice is neither Daisy nor Violet is a simple task; Lily (at least when Hollingshead played her) emphasized the valley-girl accent the least. Though it may only be coincidence, Hudson takes after her in that regard, though the overlying reason is surely because Hudson was the main Hollingshead replacement in Pokemon and at least one other 4Kids series. - Again with the (playing by) ear and credits? How many times do I have to say? Credits and playing by ear are not reliable sources. EVen in cases of 4kids VAs, you cannot play by ear or the credits. --ForceFire 01:16, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- I only pointed out what I believe to be the correct answer in a rational manner. I did not change the page, so no harm was done. If you believe the answer to be otherwise, then please, discuss it properly rather than debase me as if you are some absolute. You may be an authority, but you are surely not sovereign. Unless you begin to recognize that you, yourself, are as fallible as any human being, than I can only see your counter-arguments as self-serving and conceited, perhaps even corrupt, as is the course those with power tend to follow.
- Now tell me, rather than write me off, what is your side of this argument? Rosebr10 (talk) 02:18, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- That comment was more in general, as you have been going around various talk page stating that "X sound like Y". It's tiresome, and shows that you haven't actually taken your warnings seriously. Playing by ear is, in my opinion, worse than going by credits. Yes, a voice actor's voice may sound similar between characters, but other voice actors can imitate another VA's voice. May sound like a strestch, but it isn't impossible. Credits don't usually say who voices who and going by process of elimination is akin to playing by ear. The only way, currently (as I've pointed out many times before), is to contact a Voice Actor (particularly 4kids VA) or Tom Wayland. Yes, I know that you may never get a response from some VAs or they are hard to find, but tough, find something else to do other than whining over our strict policy and rules.--ForceFire 02:26, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
