Release information
In Japan, this card was available as an insert with the June 1999 issue of CoroCoro comic. The English version of the card was available through the Pokémon League in December 2000. It was later reprinted in Japan in Pokémon Web.
Trivia
- In Japan, Marill and Togepi were the first Generation II Pokémon to be featured on a Pokémon card and the first to feature the aesthetic changes made to the cards in the Neo series, released some six months before Gold, Silver, to a New World.... This remains true for the English print of this card, released approximately a week before Neo Genesis.
- This card featured several errors:
- "Length" was listed as "Height" on the card. Interestingly, cards from Diamond & Pearl onward list the field as height as standard.
- A that should be before the first occurrence of "Energy" in the attack name isn't there.
- The attack's damage is off-center.
Origin
Water Gun is a move in the Pokémon games that Marill can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold.
