No one is trying to edit the page so there is no reason to lock it yet. --HoennMaster 22:32, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Trivia notable?

I think the trivia of MegaKyurem is not notable enough. Can any staff check it please? --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 13:49, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Onscreen bat catch trivia

OK, there's clearly a lot of disagreement about the notability and/or wording of this particular piece of trivia, so I think we should work it out here. Now, here's the gist of it- Ash's Noibat is the first Pokémon based off of a bat whose catch in the anime was actually seen onscreen. Now, even if we don't specify just ones owned by main characters, this still holds true- while Brock's Crobat and Jessie's Woobat were both caught offscreen, something to remember is that we have never seen a character actually catch a Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Woobat, Swoobat, Noibat, or Noivern onscreen, main, recurring, or otherwise. Considering this breaks a tradition that the anime's upheld since the sixth episode, I can't agree with it not being notable. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Still too specific since you're singling out a group of Pokémon. And even still, one Pokémon out of seven (or three, if we're only talking families), that's too small of a group.--ForceFire 14:31, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

English Voice

Although the dub won't air for a while, do we know if Noibat will keep its Japanese voice in the dub like Noivern does, did Noibat from before keep its Japanese voice?--BigDocFan (talk) 16:09, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Neither Noibat or Noivern kept their Japanese voice in the dub in their appearances. Furthermore, we don't add in voice actors until the day the actual dubbed episode airs. ScraftyIsTheBest (talk) 17:28, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Noibat I agree because of the dub, but mind telling me why Alexa's page says Noivern's Japanese and English name is Kiyotaka Furushima if they aren't the same?--Dman dustin (talk) 05:54, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Supersonic or Screech?

Was the attack Noibat used actually mentioned by name? Because if not, it could go either way. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 17:30, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

  • Clemont specifically notes it as Supersonic about 6 minutes into the episode. Frugali (talk) 17:35, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Is this trivia worthy?

Is it trivia worthy that Noibat is Ash's first Flying-type with Flying as its primary type? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 22:03, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Noibat and Noivern are the only Pokémon with Flying as their primary type, so no. glikglak 22:13, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Is this trivia worthy?

All Ash's Dragon type pokemon was caught without battling Gible, Goomy, Noibat willingly follow Ash after he asked them Is this trivia worthy? - unsigned comment from Makarov5 (talkcontribs)

I think it would only be notable if, in the future, Ash caught a Dragon-type in battle. - Chosen of Mana 13:47, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

Noivern

A poster for the new XZ series suggest Noibat will soon be evolving --BigDocFan (talk) 09:34, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

We know. It's protected.--ForceFire 09:45, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
Just checking--BigDocFan (talk) 09:54, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

Can this be trivia?

Noibat is the only flying type ash has owned that hasn't fully evolved (not counting temporary pokemon).

I'm not so sure, considering this page is pretty much gonna be protected until that particular bit of trivia no longer holds true. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 18:36, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
We already know that will not be true for much longer, so it is pointless to add it. --HoennMaster 18:44, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Trivia Accuracy

Isn't it technically inaccurate to say that Noibat is the only Pokemon to hatch before being given to a member of the main cast, since we don't know exactly when Misty's Azurill hatched? At the very least, I feel like the wording should be changed. Swiftgallade46 (talk) 20:43, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

Except that Misty's Azurill is an off screen egg Pokemon, and I'm pretty sure only onscreen egg Pokemon count for that bit of trivia, since one can argue that throughout the Pokeverse such trivia might apply (even though it says Main Character), but it's irrelevant because it's not onscreen, not to mention Misty was no longer a Main Character when she received Azurill, so again doesn't apply.--Dman dustin (talk) 05:03, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
I dont really see why that would matter...Just because it happened offscreen doesn't mean it didn't happen. Also, Misty (and all other travelling companions) will technically always be a Main Character as far as Trivia is concerned. For example, if she were to Mega Evolve her Gyarados right now, the Trivia section would still refer to her as the first Main Character to Mega Evolve a Pokemon to-date. XY103

Noibat's gender was confirmed in this ep. It was after Hawlucha stopped Pikachu from interfering with Noibat's fight with Breloom, Ash called it a man to man fight (otoko o otoko tatakai da) around 11 minutes in.-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 21:47, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Doesn't that also make the only pokemon from Kalos that Ash has to have a gender confirmed.--Ovidkid (talk) 00:45, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
