Release information

This card was included in the English Fossil expansion, first released in the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion. The illustrator's name, Miki Tanaka, was misspelled as "Miki Takana" on this print. It was later reprinted in the English Legendary Collection expansion.

Trivia

This card is extremely similar to another Slowpoke card released later in the Generations expansion, with the only significant playability difference being the effect of Scavenge. Due to the split of Trainer cards only taking effect for cards starting with the release of Diamond & Pearl, this Slowpoke is still able to retrieve Supporter cards and Stadium cards from the discard pile, while Generations Slowpoke can only retrieve Item cards.

Origin

This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
