Lack of IP address? That isn't the problem - if it says that there's no connection, you should probably see if you have a wireless router (Without a firewall, preferably. That creates havoc if you're trying to connect.) or a WiFi USB connector.

Wi-Fi Battle Tower

I've never tried out the WiFi battle room before, so I can't say what's wrong. Sorry! ^^; (I should sometime with my Psychic team, though... my regular teams would get owned in two seconds. T_T)
