other than the crappy "Spurt" picture, does anyone have a good pic of Ash's Kingler? MAGNEDETH 05:00, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Hyper Beam

The Trivia section makes note of Ash's Krabby using Hyper Beam, but the list of moves demonstrated is missing it. Is it because Krabby (now Kingler) hasn't used it since it evolved, or was it just overlooked? // SzayelAporroGranz 23:59, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm sure it was overlooked. It actually used the move as a Kingler (once) to defeat Mandi the Astounding's Golbat. --PAK Man Talk 00:00, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Taking a second look, it was there after all. That was pretty stupid of me. ^^' // SzayelAporroGranz 00:01, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
I've overlooked worse than that. No biggie. --PAK Man Talk 04:16, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Second Unaided Capture?

In the trivia it says "Kingler was the second Pokémon Ash caught without the aid of another Pokémon."

Don't Charmander and Squirtle count? They went with him voluntarily so wouldn't that count as unaided capture? --Woodland:M 21:52, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Wait, you are Right!!C Isfor Cookie
Actually, I'm gonna take that line out entirerly, since it only really matters for the 1st Pokémon, not the third. --Theryguy512 22:44, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Then again Charmander and Squirtle were caught in unusual circumstances and not in any kind of battle circumstances. One was more like a trade and the other went of its own free will unlike Krabby who put up a fight and Caterpie who was just too weak. --Woodland:M 00:51, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Cry

What is it that kingler says. It sounds like "cooking"

I think it's some kind of genaric crab sound over in japan, like how the genaric dog sound is "woof" over here. I always thought it was saying "cookie" XD (Fossilgojira 15:30, 23 June 2008 (UTC))

what wrong with it picture

it good to why to you want to replace it?Lindsayoris15 00:00, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

The head image has text, and the "As a Krabby" image has logos and is quite bad quality. MaverickNate 00:02, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

More than 4 moves?

Anyone notice how in "Round one -- Begin!" Kingler used 5 moves? After evolving it used Water gun, Hyper beam, Bubble, Crabhammer, and Vice grip. I always thought pokemon in the anime followed the 4move rule? No other pokemon has used 5 that I can remember--Lycos Ex Mortis 00:05, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

The games do not necessarily reflect the anime. Look at Ash's Charizard and how many moves it knows. --rockersk08 00:09, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Um Rockersk08 does Charizard's list of moves really matter in this case. It's the anime so of course a Pokemon is likely display more than 4 moves over it's course of Tenure on the show. How is that any different than in the games when you sometimes have to delete a move for a new one. After all you're X Pokemon may not know tackle anymore, but it used to. I was going to argue that hyper beam was just showing how even when battling you can learn a new move by replacing it, but if Lycos is sure it used 5 moves as a Kingler using hyper beam first and then the other 4 moves, than never mind. In which case I'll argue that it's the anime. Which will allow a little bit more every once in awhile--Dman dustin 00:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
For an example see Drake's Dragonite. Ten moves in one episode. Moves are only limited by the writer's imagination.--Beligaronia (talk) 00:26, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
As stated above. I just used Charizard as an example for the anime. It wasn't a choice of preference, but the first thing I thought of. But if there's any doubt, bring this to the Project Anime leader. --rockersk08 00:28, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Picture

Well, with DP182 airing and no Kingler in sight (..along with Tauros, Swellow and Sceptile), I decided to update Kingler's picture from when it was featured in AG133. Previous picture was terrible quality and was from the pre-digital coloring era, so I figured everything should at least match.--Cubic Question 13:10, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Hyper Beam

Should it be noted that that after Krabby evolved into Kingler Ash somehow new instinctively that Kingler new Hyper Beam. Most Pokemon use new moves they learn on their own and then Ash says, "Wow (pokemon name here) you learned (new move), that's awesome.", or something like that, or they train with someone to learn a new move, or Ash finds out from his Pokedex, etc. I can believe that Krabby new Bubble, Water Gun, Vice Grip, Crabhammer even, but only fully evolved Pokemon can learn Hyper Beam. So I'm just wondering how Ash new Kingler could use it and if anything should be noted about that. - Ash1Ketchum4 19:12, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Additional pictures

I've been uploading extra pictures to place on the template. I'll list the new images here, because I'm afraid I still don't know how to work the template. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 06:32, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the screenshots, I've added the images. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 06:48, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
