Plot

Major events

• Clembot manages to open the doors to the Lumiose Gym, allowing it and Clemont to head inside it.
• Clemont battles Xerosic and wins, reclaiming his Gym.
• Xerosic attempts to stop Clembot from shutting down the machine that is controlling Z2, but fails and falls into the trap door in the gym in process.
• Clembot connects itself to the Mega Evolution energy-powered ray and attempts to shut it down.
• Serena meets Steven for the first time.
• Team Rocket begin their battle against Celosia and take their disguises off.
• Ash learns that Malva is part of Team Flare.
• Malva is revealed to oppose Lysandre's plan and turned against him.
• Serena, Professor Sycamore, and Mairin escape from Lysandre Labs with Chespie.
• Bonnie sings Puni-chan's Song to Squishy to calm it down, freeing it from Team Flare's mind control.
• Clemont destroys the machine that is controlling Z2, which in turn destroys Clembot, at its own request.
• Z2 is also released from Team Flare's control, apparently thwarting Lysandre's evil scheme.
