In the Japanese version, she called it Dokucale-chan on more than one occasion

And Dokucale-chan means...
Well, I could write you a lengthy treatise on the connotations of using -chan (like this one), or I could just say it's just a piece of trivia. - 振霖T 00:33, 19 November 2005 (CST)
It means that Jessie think that it is a female.-Billy4b2004 02:51, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I think the guy wanted to know what "Dokucale" means, but it's simply Duxtox's Japanese name

Dustox's voice

I thought that Kayzie Rogers took over the role of Dustox from Birnbaum

Stun Spore??

Isn't it impossible for Dustox to use Stun Spore? God, anime physics really piss me off... -__-;; → User:Thomas1652

Leaving in DP 73?

With the pattern of Likatung, Victreebel, Arbok, Weezing, Chimecho, and Cacnea are Duxtox's days numbered? Should we be worried about Seviper?

That's for the forums, not here. --Theryguy512 15:20, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Besides, we don't know for sure if Dustox is actually going to leave. The title may suggest it, but then again EP091's titles (both original and dub) suggested Misty's Psyduck was going to evolve yet no evolution took place. --Shiningpikablu252 18:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
But think about it. The jap title also has Golduck in it. This was left to believe Psyduck was going to evolve. This is different, as Dustox is at it's final evolution. It's probably going to go with the Shiny Dustox and breed/migrate, like Ash's Butterfree. -Dean
And until this episode airs: it won't be mentioned. Period. I'm tired of all the speculation that gets put into these articles...-Sketchies 21:31, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Gender

What is the proof that Dustox is female.- unsigned comment from Happizelpom (talkcontribs)

Huh? That? There is no proofPokeManiac102 02:23, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed how this is suddenly referring to Dustox as female. I think it should be removed, until at least the episode airs. Maybe this should be protected altogether?

Someone remove it, and yes, it should be protected. It's not like something major will happen to Dustox by thenPokeManiac102 02:44, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Jessie calls it Dokucale-chan in the Japanese version.Can it be a proof?-Billy4b2004 05:02, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

For all we know, Jessie could be treating anything she finds cute the same way regardless of gender. Unless we can get a positive gender ID on the alternate coloration Dustox, assume nothing. Dawn could do the same, and Dawn's Pachirisu is a good example of it--I believe it is most likely male due to the head stripe, yet some others believe it to be female due to attire Dawn had it wear. --Shiningpikablu252 17:51, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Wurmple to Cascoon

I'll upload the pictures cause I can get them using print screen

OK Thank you--KukiTalk 13:33, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Gender

I'm sure Dustox is a female since it has Jessie's Ribbons on its attenae also Austin's Dustox sounds like a male in both languages ironically in English he is voiced by Billy Beach Livinlarge18 21:21, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Still, that isn't solid proof. Unless Jessie said "she" or "her", than we can't do anything. --ケンジガール 00:29, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

I don't get why we put so much important on the stating of gender in anime yet ignore this rule for other Pokemon? You assume Brock Gureggru is male based on a marriage fantasy and yet ignore the fact that Dokucale has a VERY feminine voice and is wearing bows. IF male why would Dokucale have a very feminine tone to her voice? Why would a male act like a female and the other not act feminie at all? We will never hear it called a female because it will never return.

(Don't go in to the gay stuff because this is pokemon we are talking about and if there was a gay relatoinship it makes more sense for it to be human.)

Pin Missile

Shouldn't there be a part in the Anime Move Error's section for Jessie's Dustox using Pin Missile? Happizelpom 03:24, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

When did it use Pin Missile? If you did add it, you'd have to know the episode. Are you sure it wasn't Poison Sting?--PsychicRider 03:27, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes, actually. It was The Bicker The Better! Jessie told it to use Pin Missile and it shot out white colored needles. Usually when using Poison Sting they are purple. (USUALLY) Im not saying all the time cuz i dont have evidence to prove that. Happizelpom 03:33, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Proof

Here is proof it used Pin Missile: Go here: http://megavideo.com/?v=5CASDT1B At AROUND 16:00 you hear her say it and you see the white needles, also its a little after 16:00 so like around yea Happizelpom 18:31, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

It did use pin missile and jessie commanded it too so it should be added.RBK 02:22, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Trivia check

"As a Wurple, and not counting temporary Pokemon, it was the only Pokemon owned by a Team Rocket member to also be owned by a main character." Would this trivia be correct or am I forgetting something? TheFatPanda (talk) 16:12, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Gender source

In what episode was it confirmed to be female? This page needs to source the episode.Ratchet and Clank 1995 (talk) 10:27, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

¬¬ In her farewell episode, Jessie releases her Dustox to go with a male Dustox. Or this is not confirmation enough? u_u --Hikaru Wazana (talk) 11:52, 05 November 2016 (UTC)]]
I would say it's only enough if in the original Japanese version a character explicitly stated that it was female.Ratchet and Clank 1995 (talk) 13:27, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
Guess what belongs to Jessie ...u_u

First off, nothing above is any confirmation of either Dustox's gender. To my knowledge, *nothing* ever confirms the Shiny Dustox's gender for certain.
However, it turns out the Japanese episode does pin down Jessie's Dustox's gender as female. When Austin tells his Dustox (in the dub) "Go ahead, your partner's here, see?" towards the end of the episode, in the Japanese, he says "bride" (嫁) instead of partner. (And no, that still doesn't mean anything about the Shiny Dustox's gender.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:49, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
