The Pokémon Nursery is a location introduced in Generation VII's debut games Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Located on Akala Island in Paniola Ranch, the Pokémon Nursery is a place for Pokémon Trainers to drop off their Pokémon to be in the care of other people. It is run by a Pokémon Breeder who was inspired by Pokémon Day Cares in other regions. Unlike Day Cares, the Pokémon left at the Nursery will not gain any experience points or learn any moves. However, Pokémon left at the Nursery can still breed. To retrieve a Pokémon from the Nursery costs $500.
