Sophocles's Togedemaru (Japanese: マーマネトゲデマル Māmane's Togedemaru) is Sophocles's first known Pokémon.
History
Togedemaru first appeared in Alola to New Adventure! alongside its Trainer, welcoming Ash to the school. Togedemaru later watched very concered as Team Skull Grunts battle Kiawe.
The following day, Togedemaru helps Sophocles runs his computer program, powering it by running on a wheel. It is later used to help welcome Ash to the school, competing in Sophocles's challenge against Ash and Pikachu to pop balloons the fastest. Sophocles and Togedemaru quickly take the lead, using Togedemaru's spikes to efficiently break the balloons. After Ash attempts to use Pikachu's Thunderbolt to turn the tides, Togedemaru uses its Lightning Rod ability, absorbing the attacking. Now powered up, Togedemaru quickly pops the remaining ballons with Zing Zap. It later watches Ash and Pikachu's battle against the guardian deity Tapu Koko, after which Sophocles informs Ash that he and Togedemaru can help him with anything releated to Z-Moves.
Personality and characteristics
Togedemaru has a strong relationship with its Trainer, often seen attached to Sophocles's side. Togedemaru loves to be helpful, very pleased to help Sophocles run his programs, and very proud to have helped him win a balloon popping challenge.
