Thank you, and have a good time editing here! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 00:15, 11 January 2017 (UTC) |
- Thank you, pumpkinking, I'll try my best! ;) - unsigned comment from HarmonytheRocketEeveon (talk • contribs) 02:04, 11 January 2017
- For future reference, we prefer if you don't go back and sign a post after making it; it messes up the timestamps. Use the unsigned template and the time from the edit history. And don't worry, you're not in trouble or anything! Just letting you know. And hey, welcome to the site. Xolroc (talk) 03:04, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, Xolroc. How do I use the unsigned template and time from edit history? - unsigned comment from HarmonytheRocketEeveon (talk • contribs) 03:44, 11 January 2017
- The unsigned template is used by entering {{unsigned|(name)|(timestamp)}} (which results in - unsigned comment from (name) (talk • contribs) (timestamp)). You can click on the "history" tab at the top of the page (will be next to "edit") to see the page's edit history, then just find the edit where you or someone else added the unsigned comment and copy the date and time from there. Feel free to ask, by the way, if you need any further help. Xolroc (talk) 05:17, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- Like this? By the way, do you mean I shouldn't sign it after posting it, or not at all?- unsigned comment from HarmonytheRocketEeveon (talk • contribs) 09:28, 11 January 2017
- You're doing it correctly, but if possible, please remember to sign your comments properly the first time with ~~~~ so you don't have to go back and use the unsigned template afterward. Preferably, you should always be signing with ~~~~ before you hit "Save page". The unsigned template just exists as a backup for just in case you don't remember to sign. - Thank you, pumpkinking! I really needed that cleared up . . . HarmonytheRocketEeveon (talk) 16:37, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

The Preview Button
Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Xolroc (talk) 23:00, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll do that now. I just had different summaries for separate edits. Should I just summarize it all at once? HarmonytheRocketEeveon (talk) 23:03, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
