On Egg Move Learners: Mudkip, Bulbasaur and Shellos only gain Sludge since HeartGold/SoulSilver, so the page should reflect this. Trainer Yusuf (talk) 10:31, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Gen 1 Poison Chance
I've been looking through pokered, the disassembly of Pokemon Red, and discovered that Sludge has the same effect as Smog in the ROM. That is to say, Sludge appears to have a 40% chance of poisoning the opponent instead of a 30% in Generation 1 games (or at least American Red/Blue). A few references I've seen online that have the raw hex data have confirmed my findings (here's one of them: http://kusabax.cultnet.net/romdocs/rbymoveinfo.txt ).
