Elise (Japanese: エリー Ellie) is one of the characters of the day in Seeking Shelter From the Storm!. She is the granddaughter of Lacy, who passed away prior to the events of the episode.
Her grandmother Lacy lived all alone in a large mansion. After she passed away, Elise and the rest of her family had plans of tearing the mansion down as it was unoccupied. When she came to inspect the building, she was surprised to see that Ash and his friends were inside, along with an Espurr.
The group explained to Elise they had entered the mansion to seek hiding from a storm, and while there had met Espurr. The Espurr had known Lacy, it had received food and had played with her. Espurr had no idea Lacy had passed away so when it returned one day, Lacy was nowhere to be seen. Espurr had stayed in the mansion for years to wait for Lacy’s return.
When Elise met Espurr, she was moved by its story and decided not to tear the mansion down, but renovate it instead. She also asked Espurr if it wanted to come along to visit Lacy’s grave, to which it happily agreed.

Espurr was a wild Pokémon that regularly visited Elise’s grandmother Lacy who lived all alone in a large mansion. Lacy gave it food and played with it. Some time later when Espurr returned to the mansion, Lacy was nowhere to be seen. Remembering the good times it had with Lacy, it decided to stay in the mansion and await Lacy’s return, but she never came back.
Years later it got to meet Elise who told it Lacy had passed away. Elise promised not to tear Lacy’s mansion down and renovate it instead, and promised Espurr to take it to Lacy’s grave. Elise also allowed Espurr to keep Lacy’s pendant.
