Talk:Necrozma (Pokémon)
Legendary Trio
I know this won't happen immediately, in fact it won't happen (probably) until at least the next Pokemon game release, but I figured I'd spark a discussion.
Is Necrozma a part of a trio(???) with Solgaleo and Lunala? (Rather, will Necrozma be added as a trio with them or will we wait until whenever?)
Really my only piece of evidence is that 3rdlegendary-770x562.png links to a picture of Necrozma: [1] if anyone has anything else add on.
It seems to me that GAMEFREAK has said that it's the 3rd legendary in the trio. But who knows, we've not accepted GAMEFREAK's word in the past, so... yeah. ----Celadonkey 01:17, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- Just because it's the "third Legendary Pokémon" doesn't mean anything. Mewtwo is Kanto's fourth Legendary Pokémon, but that doesn't say anything about its relationship to the Legendary birds. --Abcboy (talk) 03:56, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- Going by that, then Cosmoem would be our third legendary. Or Tapu Bulu. In fact, Necrozma is the LAST legendary in Gen VII, and there are definitely more than three. We don't have to make the change now, but I think GF's made it pretty clear.
- But, like I said, there have been times where we don't take GF's word as official evidence in the past. ----Celadonkey 13:32, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- As you yourself just noted, there are plenty more than three Legendaries in Gen VII*. It would be total speculation for us to say (1) that the "3rdlegendary" name of the asset indicates being part of a trio, rather than some other meaning, (2) which other Legendaries it's part of a trio with, and (3) that this is in any way official or canonically supported. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 16:36, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- Like I said earlier, we don't have to put it in immediately. But realistically, what other legendaries could Necrozma be part of a trio with? Or what else could "3rdlegendary" mean? I feel like we are grasping to find that it is not a part of a trio. And also, I would count this as being official support, considering it's on the Sun and Moon website. ----Celadonkey 18:09, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- There's not enough here to reliably conclude that Necrozma is part of a trio. We can wait just fine until there's plain word that it is, not just a few hasty conclusions from scant evidence. You may be right. You may not be. There's not enough to reliably say which it is yet. It won't hurt anyone to just wait. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:24, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, I know, but some people seem to be so eager to dismiss this kind of thing. ----Celadonkey 18:33, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- So...the prerelease art for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon shows Solgaleo and Lunaala with Necrozma parts fused onto them. If that doesn't confirm confirm the trio, I'm not sure what does. Octaazacubane (talk) 16:31, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
- Looking back on my messages here... I apologizing for being so... frustrating.

Cry
Necrozma's cry shares an audio characteristic with the other Ultra Space Pokémon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ0-Mpj2hNM KrytenKoro (talk) 03:18, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Grammar
"Necrozma could be based off the concept of prisms and light refraction." Based on. Not based off.Arkz (talk) 01:11, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
Updating Necrozma Page
Today we got official news on the Mascot Pokemon of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as two fusion/alternative forms. So should we know update and include the forms on Necrozma page and Pokemon forme page? We have proof now thanks to CoroCoro. --Jacob Kogan (talk) 18:52, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- The staff will do it when they do it. Be patient. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:55, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
Phases
In the trailer, doesn't Necrozma change phases like Solgaleo and Lunala? You can observe this phase change when Dawn Wings Necrozma uses Moongeist Beam. Can this be added to the page? Elbunnies (talk) 13:51, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Carbonado
Adding onto Necrozma's possible origins, perhaps its physical appearance is inspired by carbonado, also known as "black diamonds", which are theorized to have originated from outer space in one way or another, whether by meteoroid collision or, more relevantly to Necrozma's other possible origins, the interior of an exploding star. Artwork
We should use the stock art for DW/DM Necrozma, instead of the box art:
It's like Kyurem... we use its official stock art over its box art . --Celadonkey 18:07, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Music Trivia
After getting battle music for both fused forms and an additional track for Ultra Necrozma, is Necrozma the only Pokémon with 2 exclusive battle themes? --Mr. Bonding (talk) 05:25, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- Definitely as most Legendary Pokémon in the core series have only one battle theme usually.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 05:28, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- IIRC there are 3 battle themes exclusive to Kyurem... one for regular Kyurem in BW (not shared by Zekrom or Reshiram), one for White K, and one for Black K --Celadonkey 16:43, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- Oh Yeah I forgot about that, so Kyurem has the most theme of Legendaries, with Necrozma as the second.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 17:12, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Necrozma = Ultra Beast
The TCG categorizes DM and DW Necrozma as UBs and recently Ultra Necrozma's card was realesed categorizing it as an Ultra Beast. What we do? Put a text just like: Its unclear if Necrozma is one of the Ultra Beasts. Pika fanatic(talk) 19:32, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- It's not unclear at all; it is an Ultra Beast, period. It's just a matter of waiting for staff to approve it. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:36, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- Until Necrozma along with the other Pokémon Cosmog and its evolution line get approved, we just have to wait for it. - unsigned comment from Jacob9594 (talk • contribs)
Dusk Wings' Weaknesses
I tried to update the weaknesses of the Dusk Wings Form, but when I set it to 300 it was Blank. This change I feel is needed because its not taking into account its Prism Armor ability, which reduces damage of Super Effective moves by 1/4. I did change it back (so it wasn't blank), but yeah.... This needs to be fixed. - unsigned comment from Dracoursa (talk • contribs)
Evobox template
I made an evobox template: User:Celadonkey/Template:Evobox/Necrozma
Should I mainspace it and add it to the article? --Celadonkey 02:18, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yes you should, it perfectly showcase how the Necrozma forms works, jsut like the other ones.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 02:22, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- I think I need staff approval first --Celadonkey 02:24, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- With all due respect, Jacob, I've noticed you doing a lot of this kind of thing on talk pages, urging immediate action when our policy is to require staff approval first. There's no need to be hurried; please be patient and don't try to do staff's job for them. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 03:12, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
- I understand, sorry about that and that I am hurried it. I think I will stop doing that bad habit out of respect and not to rush anyone.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 03:16, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

Necrozma Trivia facts
So I been looking at some of the facts of Necrozma for possible trivia facts. Here are some examples: 1. Necrozma is the first main antagonist in a Pokemon core series game that isn't a villainous team nor human, specially the main story. And Spin offs don't count.
2. Necorzma has access to the most exclusive Z-Moves {That being three).
3. Having the highest catch rate of all Legendary Pokémon.
4. The only Legendary Pokémon to gain an additional type when changing forms, not counting Mega Evolution, Primal Reversion.
What do you guys think? Do these count as trivia worthy facts for Necrozma? If yes I will add them in, if no, well you get the idea.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 06:28, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
Necrozma DM/DW = Absofusion?
Kyurem's process of fusing with Reshiram or Zekrom is called Absofusion. it absorbs then for itself to become B/W Kyurem, so, we can also consider Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma, as an Absofusion?
