Release information

This card was included in the Ultra Prism expansion with artwork by tetsuya koizumi, first released in the Japanese Ultra Sun expansion. A Cosmos Holo variant with the expansion logo on the bottom right corner of the artwork was given away at GameStop and EB Games stores from February 2 to 28, 2018. It was given to customers who bought $25 worth of TCG products. A SM Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Ultra Prism with different artwork by the same artist, available in the Ultra Prism Prerelease Kit. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing the event. In Japan, it was later released as one of seven possible SM-P Promotional cards available in promotional packs awarded to participants of Pokémon Card Gym tournaments during June and July 2018. This print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo. The Ultra Prism print was reprinted as a Non Holofoil in the Metal Metagross-GX Deck of the Japanese GX Starter Decks.
