Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Japanese: 大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ SPECIAL Great Fray Smash Brothers Special) is the sixth installment in the Super Smash Bros. series. It was first teased March 8, 2018, and was then revealed in full on a Nintendo Direct on June 12, during E3. It is set to release worldwide on the Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018. The game will bring together all fighters from previous installments together in one game.
Playable characters
Bold denotes a Pokémon character. ε denotes an Echo Fighter. It has been implied that only the roster from the first Super Smash Bros. is available from the start, but it is currently unknown if the full roster or the default roster of 8 characters will be the starting roster, and the rest of the roster needs to be unlocked.[1]

- This is the first Super Smash Bros. game to have a planned worldwide simultaneous release.
- Ditto was originally planned to appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but due to some programming issues, Ditto was cut from the game very late into development.
