In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, promotional cards are typically rarer than cards found in Expansion sets. Some promotional cards are rarer than others, depending on what promotion they were released through. Nintendo, since their occupation of the TCG, have released a more diverse range of cards compared to Wizards of the Coast, having promotional cards for more affiliated events and producing promotional sets such as the POP series.

In the card lists categorized here, each of the cards are designated "--", as they all have "promotional rarity". In the cases of holographic or reverse-holographic cards, they are indicated in brackets.
