Talk:Professor Juniper
Chiramii
She's shown with a Chiramii. Yeah and? Oak introduced you to Kanto with a Nidoran, Johto with a Marill... it's just the Pokémon they chose to put in the opening. TTEchidna 22:39, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Speculation?
i dont believe it says anywhere in the corocoro scans that Professor Araragi is the one who gives the player thier pokémon, we are just relying on what we know from previous generations and making assumptions. The latest trailer on the B&W website shows the starter pokéballs inside a decorative box, what looks like a gift, possibly from Araragi but most likely form the protagonist's family. just putting it out there...- unsigned comment from Mr-connor (talk • contribs)
- I agree, we shouldn't make too many speculative assumptions. I think that the gift probably is from Professor Araragi, but we shouldn't assume this. --SnorlaxMonster 13:28, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Husband?
There is a male NPC in Black and White whose name is Araragi and knows the professor. I couldn't really understand his relationship to her. May be a husband/brother/father. Can someone check on that? --ケンジのガール 22:21, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- I thought Adeku was her father..(or so I've heard...) Ataro 22:30, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently it's her father. --Psyライダー☮ 22:32, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- And since it's her father, does this mean he should get a seperate article, or just be in this one? --User:Carrottime 10/31/10
- Considering he has yet to make an appearance in the anime, I would leave him in the Professor Araragi heading for now, although it should be noted that he upgrades your pokedex in the game. --User:Inuichi December 16, 2010

Anime
I have a anime screenshot, but I am still unable to upload images, anyone know when the archives will be aviable again? DeadUniverse Hello! 12:20, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Should I put this in the article? DeadUniverse Hello! 09:11, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's a shame it isn't a picture of the whole scene (as in, you've cropped it), but it'll do for now. —darklordtrom 09:21, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Professor Hands out TM's
If go back to your hometown and have Professor Araragi evaluate your pokedex, she will reward you with TM's based on how many pokemon you have. I just received TM 17 from her with 77 pokemon, along with another TM I missed the number of. Perhaps this should be researched and added to her page?- unsigned comment from Inuichi (talk • contribs)
- Revisiting this. I received the TMs False Swipe and Protect after seeing 62 pokémon, and have only beaten Clay. She gives out a third TM, too: Hidden Power. That was post game, 148 pokémon seen. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 23:44, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Bianca's Chaoboo?
Do we know for a fact that Bianca got her Chaoboo from Prof. Juniper? I mean, I know we know from the games, and I know that it is inferred in the anime (since it is assumed that most new trainers in a given region get their starter from the regional professor) but as far as I know, it was never explicitly stated that she got it as a Tepig from Professor Juniper, was it? I am confused, and I could be wrong, but please, some clarification on this issue would be appreciated. --JediKnightDTV 17:59, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Bianca said it herself. It's how she knows Juniper--Derenol232 18:03, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Shooti's Snivy/Janovy?
Okay, I understand that it was given as a Snivy. But it has since EVOLVED into Janovy, so it is not a Snivy anymore, just as Bianca's Chaoboo is not a Tepig anymore. How does it make sense to have it as Snivy, when it is not a Snivy anymore? --JediKnightDTV 18:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Problem is, your comparison is bad because Chaoboo was never shown in its initial form. Janovy was. --Derenol232 18:11, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter, because my point still stands. It is a Janovy NOW, as of the most current Japanese episode, not a Snivy anymore. Besides, it is stated in Shooti's Janovy's article that he obtained it from Prof. Juniper as a Snivy. Also, if Bianca's Chaoboo was the Tepig that Ash and Shooti saw at Prof. Juniper's lab, then it was shown in it's initial form. Not saying that it was that same Tepig, as we do not know for sure, but it could have been. --JediKnightDTV 18:19, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
She didn't give a Janovy away, she gave a Snivy away. Case closed. You're also speculating about Bianca's Chaoboo, which isn't allowed--Derenol232 18:22, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Derenol1232 is right, we show the Pokémon at their basic stage and only if it was never shown at the stage it was given out at, do we put the evolved form e.g. Harrisons Blaziken and May's Torchic on Birch's page, Chaoboo is confirmed to be her starter and was confirmed to of evolved from Tepig, Bianca also comes from the same town so it is quite evident speculation Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:46, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
She was certainly not in BW001, and obtaining it afterwards would make it very hard to evolve it with her battling style in just 11 episodes--Derenol232 18:51, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Never said it was the one in BW001, and she had managed to get 2 badges so she can't be that bad Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:52, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

- "Also, if Bianca's Chaoboo was the Tepig that Ash and Shooti saw at Prof. Juniper's lab, then it was shown in it's initial form."
- That's why I mentioned that. The reason I mentioned her battling style is because I know someone's gonna mention Shooti's Snivy taking only 9, but Bianca and Shooti's battling styles are vastly different--Derenol232 18:59, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- To be honest, I actualy agree Bianca's Chaoboo should not really be on this page, because the best proof is when it is stated in the anime, no-matter how likely I'd say it should stay off but I have little power in the situation Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 19:05, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- It should stay the way it is. On all the other professors page it stays the form that was showed first. Like May's torchic will stay a torchic picture even though it evolved already. --Pokemaster97 19:06, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Bianca's Chaoboo has no business being here in the first place. I removed it myself once before. She never once said she received if from Juniper. Anyway, I think we should list Pokémon in the stage they were in when she gave it to them. Just like with other regular people. On Monica's page, it doesn't say she formerly took care of Mamoswine, but Swinub. --ケンジのガール 21:34, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

XTransceiver Sprite
I thought that Professor Juniper has a XTransceiver Sprite. I think she had a 4 way conversation between the Bianca, Cheren and the Player. (Although I think it was really Juniper and Bianca, with two people listening in) - unsigned comment from Big Nutter (talk • contribs)
- I'm pretty sure I've seen that sprite, but we don't seem to have it. --SnorlaxMonster 11:14, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Aurea
Where exactly is her name mentioned in the game? This information will help me to find out her first name in other languages. --Maxim 14:44, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
- I don't believe it was in the games at all. According to this post, it was in the game's strategy guide. --SnorlaxMonster 14:50, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
- I can vouch for it being in the strategy guide too, since I also own oneGreen Zubat 04:02, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Ash's Reserves
Shouldn't Ash's reserves be added in a new section of pokemon she takes care of?RBK 05:17, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
What happened to the reserves section??RBK 05:56, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see a point in keeping it really. We have no way of telling what Pokémon Ash has on hand most of the time. --ケンジのガール 06:00, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
Well we can add the ones we know for sure and then edit it with the other later, for instance we could add Tranquil, Swadloon, Roggenrola, Palpitoad, Tepig(?), Scraggy(?). And then put the other once we have a group episode and we know for sure they are not on the team. And I'm not saying for when they actually rotate, I mean they she takes care of overall.RBK 06:18, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- You mean change it every week? Isn't that what they were trying to prevent? Ataro 06:49, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
No I mean put the ones that Ash is for sure rotating, and then once we have evidence that Ash is rotating Snivy or Oshawott, add them as well not change them every week.RBK 06:52, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- Are you suggesting that we list the Pokémon of Ash's that she is known to have taken care of, not necessarily the ones she is actively caring for? If so, then I don't think it is such a bad idea. --SnorlaxMonster 13:20, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes that is exactly what I am saying, then once he gets new pokemon that are confirmed to be rotated, they are added to the list. Mo changing every week because that just gets annoying.RBK 19:07, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
So do you guys think it would be a good idea??RBK 02:43, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
I guess it's not gonna happen then??RBK 01:35, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
I would like to see a "taken care of" section. If no admin objects by Oct 3 then I will add the section. Truthseeker4449 01:42, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- It turns out the section was never removed, only hiden. I have renamed it as "Taken care of" Truthseeker4449 11:25, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, I could of sworn that Tepig and Scraggy were left with her too at some point.RBK 19:12, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
Why was Snivy removed??RBK 08:46, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
The Elesa gym battle episode, Ash left the room to go get Snivy.RBK 08:43, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Patrat capture
The trivia says that she is the only NPC shown to capture a Pokémon who is later seen to still own that Pokémon. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you help Wally to capture his Ralts in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald? If I remember correctly, he's still the one to throw the Poké Ball, so he should technically negate this trivia note. --AndyPKMN (talk) 18:24, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- I agree with this. I'll change it. --Pokemaster97 18:58, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
Protection
Why is this page protected?? Is it because of the argument between me and playerking95?? Or her getting a new pokemon??RBK 23:36, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- That is correct. If you can't agree on something, bring it up on the talk page. This page had an edit war four days earlier. Within two days of that protection expiring, there was another one. As soon as you are reverting a revert, stop and talk page it. Werdnae (talk) 23:43, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
I wanna apologize about that, I didn't know how to do a summary so that's why I didn't put a reason for the undo. However there is a section on this talk page where I have put my reasoning. I put it under the reserves section.RBK 05:57, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
BW050
I know there was an edit war before, with the whole was Snivy at Junipers and whatnot. Although it was the dub, Elesa clearly asked Ash if Ash had just Palpitoad, to which Ash expressed a nervous laughter, which clearly meant that it was true. So it is entirely possible that he left Pokeballs in another room, or with someone like Joy offscreen. In the japanese, it was never clearly stated that Ash went to Juniper and in the dub, it was implied that Palpitoad and Pikachu) were Ash's only Pokemon on hand. Doesn't that all dignify to get rid of Snivy from the list of Pokemon that was at Juniper's. As I said before, nothing was officially stated that it was at Juniper's, it's speculation. But I guess if that means nothing, then fine, but I just felt like I should voice my opinion, since I didn't do much of that before, when I edited the page. Playerking95 11:32, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- I think the reason it is said that Snivy went to Juniper is because at the beginning of the episode Ash was switching Pokémon around with her and then he left in the middle of the Gym Battle to get Snivy. --HoennMaster 17:09, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Prof. Juniper's Archen?
Was Archen even officialy Professor Juniper's? All Juniper did was revive it. She didn't even command it. サトシ 01:04, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
Darumaka
The episode of BW069 says that Professor Juniper has a Darumaka but it appears as a fantasy. Shouldn't Darumaka be added in the On hand section? PattyMan 16:50, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- We don't see it so we don't know if she has it. Random Chaos 17:31, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, that should work. PattyMan 18:09, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- I believe that perfect place is "status unknown" for Darumaka. And yes, Random Chaos, is told in episode, Juniper owns a Darumaka.--Hikaru Wazana 02:46, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, that should work. PattyMan 18:09, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Rotation
On Ash's page we put all of Ash's Unova pokemon under rotation. Should we not add all of Ash's Unova pokemon bar Pikachu into the pokemon she takes care of section??00:16, 14 April 2012 (UTC)RBK
Do you guys think this would be a good idea??RBK 03:04, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
- It was never confirmed she took care of Oshawott*, Tepig, or Scraggy. The only reason it's like that on Ash's page is because it looks a lot nicer than trying to separate them. --ケンジのガール 03:13, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
B2+W2
Is she defiantly not appearing in Black 2 and White 2? TeamPlasma (talk) 11:33, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
- Nope, she's just not definitely appearing (meaning that we don't know if she will or not yet). --SnorlaxMonster 11:35, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
So this would be the first Game without a regional professor in, if she don't appear, It comes out in Japan in one week, so we will see then!TeamPlasma (talk) 11:39, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
- If neither she nor her father appears, then yes (unless we get Professors in the World Tournament), but I doubt that that will be the case. --SnorlaxMonster 11:45, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Eight starters possibly distributed; a tie?
There is a question from me on Professor Sycamore's page about him being the professor who has given out the most starters in the anime, with a total of eight. (Quick reminder, that includes Ash's Froakie, Serena's Fennekin, Clemont's Chespin, Alain's Charizard, Mairin's Chespin, Tierno's Squirtle, Trevor's Charmander, and Shauna's Bulbasaur). However, if one counts the trailer for Professor Juniper, plus Cameron, shouldn't we say that she's given out eight as well? Those would be Trip's Serperior, Rosa's Serperior, Bianca's Emboar, Nate's Emboar, Nanette's Tepig, Hugh's Samurott, Cameron's Samurott, and Ash's Oshawott. If these can be counted, than that would mean that she and Professor Sycamore are tied with the most number of starters distributed with eight apiece. I just want to know! Ash Vs. Professor trivia
Quick question, if I'm right in thinking, Professor Juniper was the first Professor to battle Ash. It was a Tag Battle alongside Bianca against Ash and Cilan in BW063 (Evolution Exchange Excitement!). Can this be said in the trivia or too specific? While I'm on this topic, can it be said Professor Kukui is the first to battle Ash alone/in a single battle? Masser (talk) 21:08, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
