History
I was first introduced to the world of pokemon on a dull afternoon while lying sick in bed looking for something to watch. I began to scroll through some options, and that’s when I came across a pokemon movie. It looked interesting at first, but I was quite uncertain as I had only heard rumors about it in the past, and I had a doubt that I could follow along with the gist of it, but gave it a try regardless of what I thought of it. Surprisingly, it was nothing like I had expected it to be, it was actually quite exciting, and I instantly became more captivated as it went onward. I thought that it was something that I would enjoy, and after I finished the movie it left me extremely eager to make further investigations and learn more about it, and it wasn’t very long before I had become totally involved, both for personal enjoyment, and taking part in the fan community as well.
The next step for me as a fan was to start watching the anime, and that’s when I started watching a daily episode in the Sun & Moon series. I realize that I started in the wrong place, but I had absolutely no idea that there was a whole list of previous seasons that I needed to start watching in order, but I later returned to the first episodes after some time.
Bulbagarden
I found about the forums about a month after originally becoming a fan, and I joined on my birthday on February 15, 2019. I honestly didn’t use the site very much, as I was skeptical about most of it, and I had a hard time joining in on conversations because I was still extremely new to everything. I then joined the public discord, and that’s when I gained more activity, as well as applying for the latest forum staff drive at the time. I was hired as a moderator on June 18, 2019, and moderate the GPD section of the forums.
I didn’t join Bulbapedia until shortly before applying for staff on the forums, and I barely used the site for anything more than just personal research, it wasn’t until some time during my career as a forum staff member did I take on a passion for this site, and now I enjoy spending time as an editor. I spend most of my time on this site editing articles in the anime section, and there I make necessary changes and improve overall grammar, punctuation, and general word usage in any article.
