Eternamax
Eternamax (Japanese: ムゲンダイマックス Mugendaimax) is an unobtainable kind of Dynamax introduced in Generation VIII.
Unlike Dynamax or Gigantamax, the transformation cannot be obtained by the player. The form is only seen when Eternabeam is used. So far, the only known Pokémon to have this transformation is Eternatus. This transformation occurs when a Pokémon absorbs massive amounts of energy at once.
History
This transformation first after Gloria/Victor defeats Eternatus for the first time. Eternatus changes into the Eternamax form after absorbing all the energy in Galar. Eternamax Eternatus proceeds to absorb more energy while preventing Gloria/Victor's and Hop's Pokémon from attacking. This power was alter negated when Gloria/[[Victor] called upon Zacian and Zamazenta. This resulted in a Special Max Raid Battle where Gloria/Victor ended up capturing Eternatus, resulting in the Eternamax Transformation ending.
Effect
While Eternamax cannot be obtained by the player, when face off against it, Eternamax Eternatus functions similar to a Dynamax]ed/[[Gigantamax]ed Pokémon. It can negate the effect of the players' Abilities and stat changes and cures it of Non-volatile status conditions. It can also use Max Moves during the battle. Unlike most Max Raid Battles, this one has a 100% guaranteed success catch rate.
