Release information

This card was one of the SWSH Black Star Promos with artwork by Hasuno, included in the Darkness Ablaze Three Pack Blisters released August 14, 2020. In Japan, this card was one of seven S-P Promotional cards available in promotional packs intended to be awarded to participants of Pokémon Card Gym tournaments held during March, April, and May 2020. Pokémon Card Gym events were among those to be canceled in a statement published on the official Japanese Pokémon Card Game website due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, it is evident venues still received packs from The Pokémon Company, hence external knowledge of the cards, and that some venues still distributed them in some way. Events officially resumed from May 23, 2020 and packs were distributed until July. The Japanese print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo. Another S-P Promotional print with artwork by so-taro was one of eight possible cards included in promotional packs awarded to participants of Pokémon Card Gym tournaments held during July, August, and early September 2020. This print also features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.
