Trivia
- Get Inspired! Let's Solve a Poké Riddle!!: Pinsir
- The trade between a Trainer's Spearow nicknamed "Oni-chan" and a Gentleman's Farfetch'd nicknamed "Oshō-kun" is a reference to Pokémon Red and Blue, where the player can trade a Spearow for an NPC's Farfetch'd in Vermilion City, which has the nickname "Oshō" in the Japanese version.
- The fact that Farfetch'd's original Trainer is a Gentleman is a reference to Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, where a Gentleman is considering trading his Farfetch'd for a Spearow.
- Spearow's nickname "Oni-chan" is also a reference to Red and Blue, where a Spearow inside an NPC's house in Viridian City has the nickname "Oni-chan" in the Japanese version.
- This episode marks the first appearance of a number of Pokémon species in the main series after long absences:
- Scolipede, who last appeared in A Cellular Connection!, 216 episodes ago.
- Drapion, who last appeared in The Right Hero for the Right Job!, 185 episodes ago.
