Release information

This card was released in POP Series 5, originating as one of the PCG-P Promotional cards. In Japan, this card was released in conjunction with the Pika Summer Trip campaign. Passengers flying on any domestic All Nippon Airways flight between July 1 and August 31, 2006 could redeem their boarding passes for a two-card set that included this card and Sea's Manaphy. A Cosmos Holofoil version of the English print was one of two cards available in the DP Value Pack 1, released in September 2007.

Trivia

Many copies of the Holofoil variant were misprinted with the back of the card upside down.

Origin

Thunderbolt is a move in the Pokémon games that Pikachu can learn.
