Trivia
- Get Inspired! Let's Solve a Poké Riddle!!: Honedge
- This is the first appearance of Wikstrom in the main series. His only previous appearance was a cameo in Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, roughly six and a half years earlier.
- As of this episode, Goh has now officially owned at least one Pokémon of all 18 types.
- Ash, Goh, Chrysa, Chloe, and Pikachu narrate the preview for the next episode.
Errors
- When Wikstrom's Probopass uses electromagnetism to pull Ash, Goh, Farfetch'd, and Scyther back, Scyther is behind Ash and Goh. When Scyther starts pushing through, it is positioned in front of Ash and Goh, despite not moving past them.
- The animation of Ash, Goh, Farfetch'd, and Scyther running around the castle also shows Pikachu, despite him not participating in the run.
- The first time Wikstrom's Aegislash gives him a handkerchief when the former cries, Aegislash is missing the gold stripe that goes down its blade.
- When Ash has Farfetch'd use Fury Cutter on Aegislash, its leek does not initially glow.
