Difficulties with Pokemon?

I know, for a fact, that I had amassed enough steps to gain a Staryu on Beautiful Beach, but all I ever get is Psyduck!

Is there any way to determine whether or not you're going to get a certain Pokemon, other than just using an advantageous type? BigOlBulbasaur 19:29, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Return from the stroll, go for the stroll again. Each time you start a new stroll, you'll encounter a different set of Pokémon. Frustrating, but true. ʝɑzzmotɦ _❝❞✎ 08:33, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
