This was really weird, but I was in my friend's secret base and he ran away and got out of range. So instead of "an earthquake" happening, I automatically walked out the door and into the blackness. Then I got a communication error! And I had to start the game over from where I last saved (above ground) and I lost all of those flags that I stole from him! furniture

Does anyone know if certain furniture is worth buying? I found this article but I cannot find anything on the Bulbapedia about the D/P/Pl furniture...

"Secret Bases: There are new features with secret bases as well! There are certain rare items that can be placed in a secret base. These include a TV, a mini-game console, a berry tree grower, a PC, a region map, and even a Pokemon healing machine! These items make a secret base more convenient beause it can give you a rest spot that could be faraway from a Pokemon Center! Also, after a certain point in the game, you can have two secret bases..." Kenji 03 09:19, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

It isn't surprising that there is no info; the game is still new and no one has been able to test everything yet. Where is the information you posted from, and which generation is it regarding? — THE TROM — 10:15, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh please you should have seen her article every place it read Poke not Poké and it was so blunt that for a second I thought I was visiting something out of Bulbapedia. The source was serebii and she mentioned it on the page right at the top she even mentioned that if something was missed remind her. She may not be knowing but we cant do it!. PS Trom come to my talk page for a second. --Prongs (TalkContributions) 10:23, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Is Kenji talking about Generation IV furniture? --Nathan2055talk 21:43, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Idea...

I was wondering if it would be convenient to create a list of secret base locations in R/S/E.... That way, people would be able to browse a quick list of places to use secret power if they prefer location over size/space. Just a quick suggestion... Sceinic 02:29, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I was wondering...

In Gen III, what would happen if the person you mix records with has a secret base at the same location you do? And what would happen if you played underground with someone who has a secret base in the same place yours is in Gen IV? PkmnChmp5 04:05, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Locations and Layouts

Some notes on the new sections:

  • There are 75 secret bases in the list which I found using an FAQ uploaded to GameFAQs by Mew Jadester (http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/921905-pokemon-emerald-version/faqs/32473). I personally checked all the locations and recorded their layouts (the guide has a few mistakes), and the directions written in this article were NOT copied and pasted from the FAQ, I wrote new ones.
  • I wasn't sure how I name the layouts so I used Greek letter names as a stand in.
  • I figured Hoenn colors were appropriate for the tables because all the base locations are in Hoenn.--The Plausible Farfetch'd 22:30, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

pachirisu doll???

i was wondering if anyone knew were to get the pachirisu doll.pachirisu is my fave pokemon and i would really like a pachirisu doll for my secret base ♥. Pachirisupancakes (talk) 14:26, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

As it says in the Decoration article, either the Underground Hiker's or Veilstone Dept. Store. --Spriteit (talk) 14:43, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
The offers of Hikers are random, but I think every Pokemon from Gen IV and earlier have a doll representing them. Latias1290 (talk) 17:32, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

Gaps in the interior

Even though it's been a while since I've played any games from Gen III, I've never understood the point of the gap in the floor within some of the bases. Can something be placed there to make the section past it accessible, or is it not possible at all to cross those gaps? Schiffy (talk) 18:07, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

When the Lilycove Department Store has its Clear-Out sales, you can buy Solid Boards to place over those holes. Keep checking the TV ads and they'll eventually have one, if the time is running. However, each Solid Board you place counts as one of the 16 decorations. Aggron989 (talk) 23:33, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
However, please note that the clear-out sales only occur after the player has beaten the Elite Four and Champion. Aggron989 (talk) 01:48, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Demolishing Super Secret Bases?

ugh, how do I demolish/delete/remove/ the dumb tree-base a that Alana or what's his name guy made and gave me without asking? I don't really want to have the base there (does everyone start there and therefore so many people would know to look for it there?) I want to decide where to put my base, but in the meantime I don't want to worry about people steeling my flag or what it was until I can decide where to put it and how to decorate it.--ZaphodBeeblebrox 18:30, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Have you even read how to make a secret base in the article? Read the article! It tells you! The game tells you! ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 18:48, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
uhm. no it doesn't. I did a search on the article for "remove" "demolish" and "delete" and found nothing. the game doesn't tell you. just that you *can*. further I did do quite a bit of searching online first. and found nothing. some question on yahoo. but for some reason it had been deleted.--ZaphodBeeblebrox 19:51, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
right, I've read through this entire article, the article on Aarune AND "Secret Power (Move)" please can you tell me the section where it says how to demolish secret bases? clearly I am blind.--ZaphodBeeblebrox 20:00, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
"They are available if you use Secret Power, available via TM94 on secret spots." Granted, I recently added that, but it said something similar under the Gen III section which had exactly the same mechanics as Gen VI. Use Secret Power, get secret base. Simple. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 20:21, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Note, I said nothing about creating bases, I said demolishing. no matter, ABCboy helped me out.--ZaphodBeeblebrox 20:50, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
You don't need to demolish it. The game will ask you if you want to abandon your current base when you make a new base. You can't delete your base without making a new one, though. --Abcboy (talk) 20:31, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
ah, so you can't remove it completely, shucks. atleast in old Rub/Shapp you could chose to never even create a base if you wanted.. well, thanks so much for your information :D --ZaphodBeeblebrox 20:50, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
hmm, should we explicitly *say* this though? it wasn't something I could find easily and searching for "remove" "delete" "demolish" or such found nothing, just an idea, something like.. "while it is possible relocate your base by abandoning and making a new base, it is not possible toremove your base completely once one has been created" or something to that effect?--ZaphodBeeblebrox 20:50, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Secret Pals help

I plundered the PGL for QR Codes of all the Trainer classes (i.e., Secret Bases owned by a user with a given Trainer class, as can be seen in your PSS Profile), and I came up with a good sample of most of the TCs. I was kind of hoping someone out there might somehow get me a QR Code for the ones I'm missing.

The classes I most need are:

I also don't have QR Codes for a Black Belt XY Black Belt Icon.png or a female Poké Fan ORAS Poké Fan F Icon.png, but since I currently have StreetPass bases with those two, it's not a big problem for what I want; but if possible, it'd still be nice to have QR Codes for them so I could call them up whenever/however I wanted to.

It'd be nice if you (someone) could set up in an "open" spot. Right now, I've managed to get all the different Trainers in different bases so I can/could put them all in one game together, and it'd be nice to continue that. But if you just wanna give me a code(s) for wherever you currently happen to be or whatever, I can be happy with that. But if you wanna give me a shout out here, I can tell you where I have an open spot you can make a QR Code for. Tiddlywinks (talk) 16:40, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

Here are the QR Codes. The Picnicker and Poké Fan ♀ are both at the tree on the east side of Route 118, while the Poké Fan ♂ and Black Belt are both at the tree on Route 117, just west of Mauville. Sorry if this messes up your "one Trainer per location" thing. --Abcboy (talk) 18:12, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
Those two spots were actually open (and in places I can access immediately too), so except insofar as they overlap themselves, it's great, thanks! Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:19, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

ORAS base layouts

Is listing the different possible base layouts in ORAS like we did for RSE a project worth taking on? I feel like it would be helpful. —Magma Zangoose ⚡ 08:46, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Secret Pals data collection

I suggest that we move Secret Pals to its own article and elaborate on specifics of their Pokémon and skills. This means including information for each class on what goods they can make, how many effort values are added, how many egg cycles are decreased, etc. PlatypusVenom (talk) 17:14, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Secret Pals' Pokemon teams when they are grunts are at Secret Base Trainer (Trainer class). The decorations that can be made with "Make some goods" are at Decoration#Super-Secret Base (though I'm dubious of at least one thing marked on there). At the moment, the Secret Pals info that we do have doesn't really need to be a separate page (it's kind of better right here rather than making people visit another page just for what we have now). For now, we can easily just fill things out here, and when everything's done, we can see about splitting it off. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:42, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I see your point. I was just thinking that since we only have details on a few of the several "jobs," we could compile that information on a new page, in which we elaborate on the rest of the "jobs" such as raising effort values and happiness, altering egg cycles, and the rest. At the very least we should add details on the unknown tasks somewhere. For example, I know that "Do some exercise" increases the chosen stat's Effort Values by 30 points. Thoughts? PlatypusVenom (talk) 19:54, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
There's not really a need for a new page just to start compiling data... At worst, you could do it here. But I've gone ahead and just added what I know (though I still don't know a few things fully/certainly), and the way I did it, it doesn't actually add a whole lot. It could perhaps be formatted a little prettier somehow, but I think it's quite adequate as it is.
FYI, of what I added, I've only got a few data points on Take care of an Egg, so it's possible it could do more or less than -3 as well; Massage a Pokemon could feasibly be something a few points more or less (or something?) since I haven't gotten as granular as possible with my testing, but I doubt it; for Gather Berries, I haven't actually seen Oran or Kee Berries yet, but it kind of makes sense for them to be receivable so for now I'm taking it on faith; and I'm pretty sure Pick something up is incomplete, and Search for treasure may be as well. max number of Secret Bases in RSE

Not sure if this "discovery" is meaningful or has already been discovered before, but it seems that Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald cannot handle more than 18 open Secret Bases per save file, despite 75 locations for them. You get to register 10 of them so that they don't move out or anything, but only get to see eight more unregistered Secret Bases. Shawn (talk) 18:46, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
