Picnics are a feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that allow the player to care for their Pokémon in various ways. It is similar to Pokémon-Amie, Pokémon Refresh, and Pokémon Camp, but picnics also introduce the option for players to make sandwiches, visit other player's picnics via the Union Circle, and breed Pokémon to produce Eggs.

Picnics can be accessed from the menu except for when the player is on water or a steep slope, riding a Pokémon, in a city or town, too close to a non-player character, or if there is not enough room.

Cleaning is one feature the player can do while having a picnic. Once the player is done washing your Pokémon, it raises their affection.
