- This episode features the reappearance of Team Rocket's Meowth bubblegum robot, which first appeared in Good 'Quil Hunting, 1,086 episodes earlier.
- Like the previous episode, there was no Dare Da? segment in the initial airing of the episode, instead having the series logo on the screen before and after the commercial break.

Errors
- When Spearow calls its friends, eight of them shows up to the left and thirteen shows up to the right. However, when they all come together, three extra Spearow are added. Later, when Ash and his friends meets the Spearow, only seven of them are shown.
- When Pikachu climbs up the tree to retrieve Ash's hat, twelve Venipede can be seen on the tree. However, when Pikachu descends down and Meowth sneezes, only nine Venipede can be seen.
- After Team Rocket retrieves Meowth, the Meowth balloon's burner is missing.
