Release information

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the Dragons Exalted expansion, first released in the Japanese Dragon Blade expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Eske Yoshinob, while the Full Art print features artwork by 5ban Graphics. The Full Art print was reprinted as one of the Japanese BW-P Promotional cards with different artwork by 5ban Graphics and was awarded to winners of the 'Super Rare Card Set Get!' campaign. Those who bought a combination of four BW5 products at participating stores could enter into a drawing to win one of 1,000 copies of Giratina-EX and Rayquaza-EX.

It was reprinted as one of the BW Black Star Promos with new artwork by Eske Yoshinob and was released in the English Legendary EX Tins in September 2012. This print was released in Japan as an unnumbered BW-P Promotional card and awarded to the top four competitors from each league in the Mystery Card Battle, one of the many events present at the Pokémon Game Show, held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, Tokyo on August 17 and 18, 2013. Keldeo-EX was awarded on August 17, with Rayquaza-EX only being awarded on August 18, making the Japanese version rather elusive with only eight total copies. The Dragons Exalted Regular print was later reprinted as part of the Japanese Master Deck Build Box EX, released on September 14, 2012.
