List of items in Pokémon Shuffle
There are generally three different types of items in Pokémon Shuffle. One group applies to a specific stage and can be bought with Coins, mostly immediately before starting the stage. Another group has effects that apply to the whole game for a period of time and can only be bought with Jewels during Special Shop periods. The final group are called Enhancements and are applied to specific Pokémon as permanent improvements; these cannot be bought.
The player can store up to 99 of any item. The Great Ball and game-wide items can only be obtained by purchase and are used immediately, so it is impossible to hold any stock of them.
Stage-use items
When the player selects a stage to play, the lower part of the screen will display an inventory of items that the player can buy or use to affect the stage when they play it. These items can sometimes be obtained as rewards for completing certain stages.
Each of these items has a cost in Coins, but if the player currently has stock for an item that they previously obtained, the game will display the player's stock of that item instead of its cost.

The items Moves +5 and Time +10 do not affect the stage's clear bonus, but they do positively affect the player's ranking.
These items can be received from:
- Main Stage 20 (Mega Start only, only for Mobile)
- Some Mission Cards (Mega Start and Disruption Delay)
- special stages
- Many Competitive Stages (particularly Disruption Delay and Attack Power ↑ for lower rankings)
- Many Escalation Battles
- Some A Great Chance a Day! stages (Moves +5, Mega Start, Disruption Delay, and Attack Power ↑)
Great Ball
If the player fails to catch a Pokémon, they can try again with a Great Ball, costing 2500 Coins in the 3DS Shuffle or 3500 Coins in Pokémon Shuffle Mobile. Catches with a Great Ball double the catchability percentage. (This does not stack if multiple throws are made.)
Game-use items
These items can only be bought from the Special Shop, which only opens for limited times. These items cost Jewels to buy. They are used immediately upon purchase and affect the whole game for a period of time. Only one can be active at a time; while one is active, the player cannot buy any others from the Special Shop.
Special Shop
Broadly speaking, the Special Shop is usually open for three weeks at a time (sometimes more or less), and usually has at least a month (sometimes more than two) between open dates. During its open times, the Special Shop's campaign is usually divided into consecutive 1-week periods. During each period, only a limited quantity of each item in the Special Shop is available; in the next period, the items are restocked if the player previously bought any. The Special Shop's openings are described in the following table.
As of September 26, 2017, the Special Shop has been made available indefinitely, with restocks occurring every week.

The items available in the Special Shop are described in the table below. Some items have differences in their effects based on the Special Shop release it was in.
Enhancements
An Enhancement (Japanese: グッズ Goods) permanently improves a Pokémon when used on it. Enhancements cannot be bought. They may be used on a Pokémon when selecting Support Pokémon for a stage, in the Pokémon swap menu. Using an Enhancement consumes it.
Enhancement | Japanese name | Description / Details | |
---|---|---|---|
![]() |
Mega Speedup | メガスキルアップ Mega Skills Up |
Use it on a Mega-Evolving Pokémon, and it'll Mega Evolve a little sooner!
Reduces the size of the Mega Gauge (the number of icons that must be matched to fill it) by one. |
![]() |
Raise Max Level | マックスレベルアップ Max Level Up |
This item raises your Pokémon's maximum level by one.
The number of times this can be used depends on the Pokémon. For some, the maximum is 0. |

Skill Swapper | スキルチェンジ Skill Change |
This enhancement changes a Pokémon's skill. Place it on a Pokémon to see what changes!
Not all Pokémon have alternate Skills to be able to use this item. If a Pokémon has more than one alternate Skill, the player is given a choice of which Skill to switch to. Each Skill has its own Skill Level, so if a brand new Skill is switched to, its Skill Level will be 1, but if a Skill that was previously raised is returned to, it will retain its old Skill Level. |
Enhancements can be received from:
- Some stages after Main Stage 450 (Raise Max Level only)
- Survival Mode (Raise Max Level, Level Up, Exp. Boosters)
- special stages
- Many Competitive Stages
- Many Escalation Battles
- Many Great Challenge stages (Raise Max Level only)
- Some A Great Chance a Day! stages (Mega Speedup, Raise Max Level, Skill Boosters, and Exp. Boosters)
- Skill Booster M Stage! (Skill Boosters)
- Pokémon Safaris (Exp. Boosters)
Personalized Skill Booster

Personalized Skill Boosters may also be considered an Enhancement, but unlike the other Enhancements, these cannot be held in stock to be used as the player desires. Personalized Skill Boosters only drop on certain stages, and if the player clears the stage and they have already caught the opponent Pokémon, they are immediately added to that Pokémon's Skill Gauge. A single personalized Skill Booster adds 1 point to the Skill Gauge.
They can be found in many special stages and many Main Stages starting at Main Stage 401.
