This card was included as a Regular card, ultra rare, and special illustration rare in the Obsidian Flames expansion, first released in the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame expansion. The Regular and ultra rare prints feature artwork by yuu, while the special illustration rare print features artwork by Ryota Murayama.

Poppy is a member of the Elite Four of the Paldea region who specializes in Steel-type Pokémon. The special illustration rare print's artwork depicts Copperajah, a Pokémon which Poppy uses in all games in which she appears as an opponent.
