Thank you, and have a good time editing here! |
The Preview Button
Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Copyrighted characters
Please do not state that a Pokemon is based off a specific copyrighted characters unless it is from a valid source. None of the sources you provided had quotes from Tajiri himself stating those claims, they appear to be opinion pieces. Particularly the reddit post. Also, regarding references to copyrighted material, it's okay to say that something may be based off a general concept or franchise, but you need sources for references to specific characters or objects. Thank you.--ForceFire 12:03, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. My apology, I didn't understand the rule of this wiki well. I'm from Japan, and many fans here are aware of influences of classic tokusatsu franchises on Pokemon, and such information are well accepted on Pixivpedia and so on. For example, when you search カメックス on Google, カメバズーカ (Turtle Bazooka) will appear on suggestion. Therefore I thought it would be okay to add here as well. Is it acceptable if I add trivia like "it is widely accepted in Japan that the character may be inspired by that character"? Teragyan (talk) 12:35, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
