Rename

Maybe this arcticle would better off being named "List of references to other video games", to include the Digger Drill's reference to Drill Dozer and other such instances Manga-in-a-bottle 06:16, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Not just other videogames, since I can think of some film and television references as well. --Zeta 09:32, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, still, Pulseman and Drill Dozer are both Game Freak games. --TTEchidna 09:35, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I understand making this page into "List of references to Game Freak games", but shouldn't other references get another list? "References to other media"? --Paperfairy 12:10, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Maybe. Other media would certainly be notable, as most game companies reference their previous works anyway, so references to others would be more unexpected. --TTEchidna 00:05, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I think it would be a good idea to expand the subject of this article to other Game Freak games, since the original Pokémon games had a reference to Mario & Wario (the Copycat had it in her SNES). --Evice 21:58, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Bisharp

I think you guys missed a huge bit of trivia. Bisharp is another Pokemon directly based on Pulseman. It's pretty obvious when you compare the two. I mentioned it in the discussion page of Bisharp as well. (Flintlock (talk) 06:08, 17 June 2012 (UTC))

Regigigas

I noticed that a bit of trivia says that Regigigas resembles a boss at the end of one of the stages, but I went on youtube and watched a playthrough and he really resembles Registeel more than Regigigas. It's a metal floating ball wiht dots for eyes...

Merge

The only reason this page exists separately from List of references to popular culture in Pokémon is that it was created several years earlier. I don't see any good reason to keep this page separate anymore. --SnorlaxMonster 12:16, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

I'm getting the feeling that this page is looser in regards to what counts as a reference than the "to popular culture" list, likely because this page is about Pulseman. Game Freak's non Pokemon works appear to be partially within Bulbapedia's coverage. (They get sections dedicated to them on Game Freak's page, something not given to any other company, including Creatures and Nintendo.) Two of the points on this page refer to sequences of notes, which I don't see a comparable example anywhere on the other page. As a result, I actually oppose a merge.
