Kenji Okubo (Japanese: 大久保賢司) is the current leader of The Pokémon Company International, and oversees all Pokémon initiatives outside of territorial Japan, including North American and European licensing, the Pokémon Trading Card Game and the Pokémon anime.

Career

After working for The Pokémon Company in Tokyo as director of international business, Kenji Okubo joined Pokémon USA in 2004. He later became executive vice president, and, on January 1, 2009, became president of the company after the former president, Akira Chiba, resigned. When, in April 2009, Pokémon USA and Pokémon UK merged, Kenji Okubo became the administrative head. While at The Pokémon Company International, Okubo has managed and produced the English-language version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
