Trivia

  • On the Base Set print of this card, "Pocket Monsters" can be clearly seen on the English translation of the card. This is one of the few times that the English cards refer to Pokémon as "Pocket Monsters".
  • At the beginning of the BW Era in Japan, a prototype image of this card was shown in the Japanese TCG rulebook to explain how to use Stadium cards. This image erroneously credits Yuri Umemura as the illustrator, and has a different effect from the final, printed version.
  • The BW-P Promotional print features Eevee and its evolutions as they appear on the many items made available during the 2012 Pokémon Center Eevee Collection campaign. A placeholder image of this print was advertised in the Eevee Collection Collection File.

Origin

A Pokémon Center is a place in the Pokémon games where Pokémon can be healed. Castelia City is featured in the illustration of the Next Destinies print.
