Nao (Japanese: ナオ Nao) is a freelance illustrator from Kantō[1] and artist for the Pokémon series, beginning with the Let's Enjoy Spring! Pokémon campaign in March of 2022.[2] They draw digitally, opting to use Clip Studio Paint as their application of choice, and have recently began studying animation.[1] Nao works as a part-time lecturer on character design at the Kyoto University of Arts.[1]
