"Explorers of Darkness" should be a shade of red, not gray. YinYang 20:00, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Trozei?
Shouldn't this include Pokémon Trozei somewhere? --ニョロトノ666 00:40, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- Apparently not; it's sort of locked. The weird thing is the button says "edit this page" and not "view source", but when I previewed the change it told me about the lock... Not that I planned on actually editing without coming to a conclusion here, but I just wanted to see how hard it would be to edit (it's not). Memo326 02:18, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
No!
It's not a good idea to group those American-only PC games together with the Game Boy TCG Series. Aside from the fact that they're based on TCG, they've got nothing in common. --Maxim 16:44, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- Well, how about grouping it with PTCGO? It is also an English-only PC TCG game. --SnorlaxMonster 01:56, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think Play It, Play It 2 and TCGO belong together. But GB TCG Series should be kept separate. --Maxim 17:11, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
I hope nobody minds that I added the just announced 3DS game Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth. Digifiend (talk) 01:26, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
TCG Online Client Series split?
With the release of TCG Live, there are three entries in the Miscellaneous TCG series that are designed to allow players to play the Pokemon Trading Card game against other people online. (Card Game Online, TCG Online, TCG Live) There are multiple series in this template that consist of two games. Therefore, I think the three listed games should be designated as a series of their own, which can be called "TCG Clients" as a descriptor in absence of a name or MMOTCGs to refer to their shared genre. (MMOTCG is used in the Card Game Online and TCG Online articles. I assume it applies to TCG Live as well, as it is the successor to TCG Online.) Salmancer (talk) 20:38, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
Mystery Dungeon Section Is Not-Standardized. Also Treat Sky as a Third Version
It appears that the Mystery Dungeon portion of this template doesn't use the same formatting as other game templates. Every other series separates its entries with the element "•" and occasionally uses line breaks for neat spacing. Mystery Dungeon only uses line breaks between entries, so it takes up more vertical space than any other series here for reasons that aren't especially obvious. (Are the titles of Super Mystery Dungeon and Gates to Infinity really much longer than that of the TCG Game Boy Games, TCG Online, and TCG Live?) I would either like to see the reasoning involved or reduce the number of line breaks in this portion of the template to match other series.
Additionally, I think the fact Explorers of Sky is merely appended onto the entry for Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness is inconsistent with the core series template. That template gives Crystal, Platinum, and Yellow fully distinct entries in the template, divided from the other titles with a "•". Since Sky's own page calls it an "enhanced version" and even notes the similarity to Platinum, Sky should be treated just like those third versions in game organization. Salmancer (talk) 02:18, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- I think that's a reasonable point. I've adjusted the Explorers of Sky separator to be consistent with other games, and removed the line breaks used by the rest of the Mystery Dungeon games, which aren't necessary since even together they're under the current template width. --SnorlaxMonster 10:49, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
Induct a number of games using TCG elements as TCG games
The game Pokémon Say Tap? uses card images and Energy symbols. I feel that as such, it is a TCG game and goes on this template. It can't be excluded on gameplay bounds, because Card Dex is here and isn't even a game. It also can't be excluded on name bounds, Pokémon Card Game Online technically does not read Pokémon Trading Card Game, but is also a TCG game.
On a similar note, while Pokémon Card Game Gacha is only related to the TCG in that it dispensed cards, I feel that's plenty enough to get it in a grouping of games related to the TCG. I wouldn't want to read a TCG video game history and miss out on it! Salmancer (talk) 04:09, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- This is vaguely related, but I guess here is as good a place as any. We have a category for games related to the TCG. Category:Pokémon Trading Card Game video games. Most everythings made the jump here, but poor Pokémon Card Game Entry Battle was left out. It should probably also be included. I am also mentioning the brand new Digital Raid Battle Assistant, which should get to pile on in on the same grounds Card Dex does, as a game supplement. It's getting crowded enough we might want to make a new template! Salmancer (talk) 01:40, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
