The Mark Charm (Japanese: あかしのおまもり Mark Charm) is a Key Item introduced in Generation VIII.

Effect

In Generation VIII, the Mark Charm effectively triples the chance for wild Pokémon to generate a mark while the item is in the player's Bag.

In Generation IX, the Mark Charm effectively triples the chance for symbol encounters to generate with a mark while the item is in the player's Bag, excluding wanderers. It does not have any effect on the bonuses applied to Pokémon encountered in Poké Portal News event mass outbreaks.
